The folklore group Changi Ensemble at the Kobuleti Culture Center received the title of “the best children’s choir” of the Olympiad and was awarded a special diploma! We are very pleased that among the 30 young singers of this group, six are pupils of our small family-type houses!
The winners were awarded on May 10 at the Batumi State Music Center. The choir “Changi” performed the folk composition “Acharuli Makruli”. Each of the participants of the choir “Changi” was awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara.
It is noteworthy that recently our pupils have repeatedly performed successfully at children’s music shows and always returned with a victory. We sincerely congratulate our guys on another successful performance in the competition and we hope that there will be many more “victories” in their piggy bank!
Zviad Abesadze, a well-known teacher of folk songs, directs the Changi children’s choir, who puts his whole soul and all his strength into work with the younger generation.
“I am very glad that the pupils of the small houses of the Chernovetsky Fund perfectly joined our team. These are wonderful guys who are not only passionate about folk art, but also actively promote it. Folk song is an exceptional phenomenon of every nation. As long as folk culture is alive, the people themselves are alive. We have big plans now. We are preparing a new program to participate in republican reviews and even dream of touring abroad, ”says Zviad Abesadze.
Our pupils cannot hide their emotions:
Lizi Khinikadze: “I thank the Chernovetsky Fund, which sheltered us and is doing everything possible for our development. I also thank our teacher Zviad Abesadze, whom we respect and love very much ”;
Gigi Verulidze: “It’s so nice to perform on the big stage ?! I’m happy!
Anna Bezhanidze: “I dream to speak many times at the Olympiads and win!”
