ChatGPT Diagnosed Woman’s Blood Cancer a Year Before Doctors Did
Marlee Garnreiter, a 27-year-old woman living in Paris, had been suffering for months from night sweats, extreme fatigue, and constant itching. Despite her growing concerns, doctors found no issues.
Out of desperation, she input her symptoms into ChatGPT, which pointed to blood cancer.
“Friends were skeptical and told me to trust only doctors,” Marlee said.
She ended up ignoring the AI’s suggestion.
A year later, when chest pain and exhaustion became unbearable, a medical exam revealed a large tumor in her lung.
The diagnosis: Hodgkin’s lymphoma – exactly what ChatGPT had suggested.
Marlee is now undergoing treatment and sharing her story to highlight that, while AI will never replace doctors, it can serve as a valuable tool for early symptom detection – especially when signs are easy to overlook.
