Their living conditions are heartbreaking. The woman, who suffers from spine issues, sleeps on a wooden couch; they need beds, mattresses, and warm clothing. The roof leaks so badly that during rain, water pours inside as if they were outdoors. The windows are old, broken, and drafty, making the room freezing cold. They don’t have a heater or firewood; a kind neighbor lent them a heater, but they must return it in ten days, and they’ll be left shivering.  If they fall ill, they won’t have money for fever medicine. Winter is approaching, the weather is worsening, and rain is frequent, making it harder for them to leave the house. Nona and Nino don’t even own warm jackets!  Our support is more crucial than ever for these two vulnerable women. They are waiting for the support of Chernovetskyi Fund friends.  Let’s help them through the winter – let’s give them a chance at life.

Freezing orphans spotted a pile of damp firewood and hurried to carry it home to light their stove. While their father was alive, he would bring firewood every morning to warm the house before the children left for school. After his death, everything in the Gulishvili family changed. Their happy childhood vanished in an instant, and these little angels were thrown into the harsh reality of survival. Kind people, you’ve surely seen for yourselves that these noble children will one day keep their promise and stand by those in need. But for now, these little angels need our help. The children live in a crumbling home and dream of having a gas heater.  They sleep on broken beds that might collapse if they try to turn over. Their shoes are soaked through, and instead of a warm dinner, they drink tea with steal bread. They can’t even escape the freezing winter winds because broken windows and an old wooden door let the cold air rush in. It’s as if the whole world has turned against these orphans. Who knows, perhaps their father is looking down in sorrow, unable to rest in peace knowing his children are in such misery. But we cannot let this continue! These little angels, left without a father, have only one hope—you, kind-hearted people!

This is fourteen-year-old Saba. Confined to a wheelchair, he suffers from terrible pain. Saba has had cerebral palsy since birth and cannot walk. His legs are so severely twisted that he can’t stand on them for even a second. What did this little angel do to deserve such torment? Saba is cut off from the world. Yes, the child is cut off from the world… Oh, how awful those words sound. You live in this world, but you are rejected by it. Just imagining it makes one’s blood run cold.

This is the horrible scene we witnessed when we visited the Javellidze family. 11-year-old Mariam had so severe attack, she couldn’t even breathe. Thank God, kind neighbors rushed in and helped her mother revive the poor child. Mariam’s mom is a group 2 disabled person. Do you think these terrifying attacks are the only problem this girl faces? Unfortunately, no. Brace yourself, now I have to tell you the worst part. This little girl has a disease that usually doesn’t occur in children her age. At just 11 years old, Mariam has a severe form of diabetes. This horrible disease started one year ago. But what I’m about to tell you will chill you to the bone. This 11-year-old child injects herself with insulin every day. God, it’s unbelievable!

Natia has experienced moments that break the strongest hearts. Her son, Zuka, came into the world, literally fighting for his life. But the joy of the long-awaited birth of her son was mixed with worry and eternal fear.

One year ago, a girl with huge eyes as blue as the sea came into this world, her eyes sparkling with kindness! Evil forces couldn’t bear the birth of an angel and decided that the girl must endure a slow and agonizing death: hydrocephalus, shock, heart failure, epilepsy, and severe brain damage afflict the child! Nutsa is fighting for her life! But without our support, the child’s death is inevitable. Nutsa was born perfectly healthy, and it continued for the first month. Her mother was always by her side, cherishing her little beauty! And today she is sure that doctors dropped her in the hospital after her birth. But even in such a difficult situation, the young mother maintains her humanity and blames no one. She wants just to keep Nutsa alive, just to make her feel better! So that she wasn’t in pain.
