Over the course of 5 years, 38-year-old Alena underwent 16 hours-long difficult operations with Georgian doctors. How she remained alive is simply a miracle! There was no one to help her! The doctors periodically examined her, reassured her, but shrugged their shoulders and seemed to be just waiting for her to die so that she wouldn’t interfere with their life in peace! And when we at the fund saw her terrible situation, we rushed to help her along with the friends of the fund! She also has a minor child living with her! So terrible!

Etuna is over the moon with joy! We delayed our departure from Agara just to soak in her boundless happiness. This wonderful and positive girl always needs diapers and food, and her family could use help finishing their bathroom. Thank you, friends, for making this incredible, happy moment possible. The electric wheelchair will dramatically improve Etuna’s quality of life. We would be thrilled if more people could join in supporting her. She is a former orphanage resident and she was sheltered by kind people for some time. Maia is 58 years old! She is lonely and deeply, deeply unhappy! And in her old age, she suddenly found herself in the position of a homeless dog! In November 2023, my room burned down in the dorm where I lived, – says Maya- you can’t imagine what it’s like to turn into a homeless dog at my age! Because the local authorities put me in a completely demolished former police station! Fate turned away from her early in her childhood when her parents left her and placed her in an orphanage. Little Maia sat by the window, waiting for her mother to come for her… waiting to be remembered.

Until the age of seven, Tedo couldn’t move a single finger. He wouldn’t have been able to swat away a wasp even if it were eating his eye. The doctors said he would die, but his mother brought him back from the brink every time! Before you is a gravely ill and unfortunate but handsome Georgian boy, Tedo! Until the age of seven, he lay in bed neither alive nor dead. During childbirth, the baby likely slipped from the hands of the midwife and injured his head, even though he was born perfectly healthy! A tragedy beyond comparison befell Tedo’s family! One day, a wasp landed on the boy’s eye, and he couldn’t brush it away. Unlike bees, wasps sting without provocation. They are just aggressive! It’s a miracle that Shorena, the boy’s mother, was always by his side. Just a second more, and Tedo might have lost his eye! My God, unfortunately, you have heard so many such stories from us, friends, about many Georgian hospitals, especially those located in the provinces, far away from Tbilisi.

The scoundrel husband left the unfortunate woman as soon as he found out that their son was born with a terrible disease – autism! Georgi clings to his mother like a child who can’t live a day without her love. So handsome and so miserable. Two deeply unhappy people, two tragedies. Mother and son—they are alone in this cruel world. Without means to live, without food and medications, and with the relentless threat from their landlord to throw them out like dogs onto the street! to this joyless life with all I have. Because if I die, what will happen to Giorgi? His father and my other child—my daughter—forgot about us long ago. Sometimes Eteri looks sadly at old photos, remembering when she was happy! Besides Giorgi, she had a beloved daughter, Nini. Such a sweet little girl. But as she grew, by the age of 14, she suddenly became cruel! She lost her heart and conscience, never to be found again by her dying mother!

Iamze (the mother of these two adorable kids!): “I’m an orphan with living parents! My children have no grandparents. My husband is in prison for the second time! He deceived me when we got married. At first, he stole, and then he turned out to be a sadist and beat me so hard in front of the children that now I’m very afraid for their mental health! And I understand: he came to me because of housing and wanted to kill me! And the children… He never loved our children! He would give them away to strangers. Such children!!! I’m not asking for anything for myself, but I won’t be able to live if my children are not saved from hunger and cold in winter! They shouldn’t repeat my terrible fate!”
