And there’s not a single strong and kind hero around to protect them! “It’s very, very hard to live when everyone wants to deceive you,” says Zurab, who endured two years of deceitful treatments from fraudulent doctors, promising to restore his sight while the nerve in his eye had long since perished. The doctors drained the last pennies from the family! Oh, if only we could find them and look into their “rotten” eyes… Some “beasts” are suing them to take away their apartment, while others are waiting for their death from hunger and cold, because then they will be able to seize the apartment completely for free! That’s why the latter have deprived them of any social protection: the elderly receive mere pennies of social assistance and are inquired…

Natalia is only 1 year and 8 months old. But the entire staff at the renowned Turkish oncology clinic has already fallen in love with her. Poor thing, they found a tumor in her body that had clenched onto her spinal vertebrae like a relentless predator. Kiss your healthy children more often, friends! And remember, you’re the luckiest people in the world! Thank God, your child is healthy and doesn’t plead with you with beautiful eyes and tears to save them from terrible pain!

In the deep, dark corner of a dilapidated house, within an empty room, lies a father of a large family. His eyes are full of sadness and fear for each member of his family. His tears are the most bitter in the world! During every choking episode, he bids a farewell to his wife and children! So terrible! His story is not just a personal story. It is a tragedy and a cry of all the sick and suffering in Georgia! The ways of the Lord are mysterious, my friends! We all understand this wisdom! “I want to survive and stand on my feet for my children! My little ones need their mom! For God’s sake, help me!” – these were the only words Lika could whisper when I visited her in the hospital. With a tracheostomy tube in her throat, it’s hard for her to speak.

In May, while eight months pregnant, she contracted chickenpox.  Complications set in, so that her baby didn’t survive, and both her kidneys failed, and nearly all her vital organs stopped functioning. Just look at what the illness has done to this once beautiful young woman—she’s unrecognizable now! There’s such sorrow in her eyes. Lika lost her fourth child and barely escaped with her own life!

Ketevan (Saba’s Mom): “Comfort me, reassure me! Tell me that children don’t die from crying all the time, do they?” Help me! I don’t know what is happening to my son! He cries all day long… then he gets tired and falls asleep. And then it starts all over again. And immediately bombards me with a barrage of questions: “Do you know if people can die from crying too much? Can children die from tears? And is it not dangerous if you don’t eat and cry all the time? Tell me, tell me, please!”

And I realize that without having a doctor’s diagnosis and the funds for a proper examination abroad, she is not asking me a question. She’s just clinging to any shred of hope like a drowning person, desperately seeking reassurance from me, just something comforting. Yet, quietly, I turn away, trying not to break down, not wanting to provoke more distress in a family where tears already flow continuously!

But he sternly warned us: If you don’t give even one, the child will die!” But I felt in my heart that something was wrong because things were getting worse. And here we are in Turkey, where we came with our last money – ours and our kind neighbors
