Nikoloz’s mother left home and now his father is raising four children alone. The boy understands how difficult it is for his father to feed the family, clothe and shoe the children and therefore is embarrassed to tell him about his desires.

– Nikoloz, what do you dream of?

Nikoloz (12 year old): My kidneys hurt. I urgently need an operation to remove one kidney, but my dad doesn’t have the money for it. I dream that kind people will help us and I will soon recover!

– What would you like for yourself?

Nikoloz: Doctors forbade me to go to school and overwork myself, I sit at home all day. But I don’t have any toys, and I’m bored and sad. The old ones broke a long time ago, and my father has no way to buy new ones. Dad doesn’t work because of health problems; he doesn’t even have enough money for food. That’s why we eat in a soup kitchen. Can I really go to him and ask: “Dad, buy me a toy”?

– What kind of toy would you like?

Nikoloz: It would be great if I got a tablet! I will watch educational videos and play. And my soccer ball and sports uniform are torn. Before I got sick, I went to a soccer section and dreamed of becoming a soccer player. After the operation, I will definitely continue training! That’s why I really need the ball and sports uniform!
