While other boys are playing outside, 11-year-old Amiran spends his days collecting scrap metal and chopping firewood alongside his sick father, just to keep their home warm. Let us help fulfill the dream of a child who had to grow up far too soon.

Amiran’s father, 31-year-old Tamaz, urgently needs hip surgery. The pain has become so severe that he can barely walk anymore. Every penny the family has is being saved for treatment. There is no money – and almost no strength left – for the simple joys of childhood. 

After long exhausting days, Amiran changes into his old sports clothes and runs to karate practice.

But his kimono is faded and worn out. His protective gear is cracked. His sneakers are nearly falling apart.

Amiran, 11 years old: “When I grow up, I want to become strong so I can help my mom and dad. I really dream of having a new kimono and good sneakers. I will take care of them and train even harder.” 

He does not ask for phones or expensive toys. This child’s dream is simply to continue doing the sport he loves.
