The three younger brothers sleep on mattresses spread out on the floor because they don’t have a bed.  God, that’s terrible! The children dream of warm beds and toys. Their little sister, 7-month-old Barbare, recently passed away, and since then, their faces have only shown sadness and tears.

Look at these little angels. There is so much sorrow in their eyes. Saba, Lazare, and Luka are brothers. Recently, a great tragedy struck the Skhiladze family. The brothers’ beloved little sister, 7-month-old Barbare, passed away, and since then, no one has seen a smile on the children’s faces. The children of the high mountainous Kharagauli have been accustomed to work since childhood.  Children herd cattle and goats. Tender children express so much through their eyes.

The visit from the Fund’s correspondent brought such joy to the children that they felt “brave” enough to share their dreams. The children love to play, but they don’t have a ball or a toy car. The brothers’ dream is to have a bicycle. These little angels wear old clothes. They dream of jeans and t-shirts. Winter is coming soon. In the high-mountain village of Babi, the cold will settle in soon. The children dream of having warm shoes and winter coats. However, more than anything, the children dream of beds because they sleep on mattresses on the floor. God, it’s incredible!

The children of the Kharagauli highlands had a glimmer of hope when they saw the Fund’s correspondent in their yard. The smart brothers quickly realized that the “unknown lady” would share their wishes with kind people. Sadness, and at the same time, hope—these two things could be seen in the eyes of these little angels as the Fund’s correspondent left their home. Kind people, now only you can help these little ones move past the sorrow and stress caused by the loss of their beloved sister, giving them hope and faith instead.  Kindness has the greatest power in this world.
