We found a house in Georgia from an American horror movie!!! Caution: not recommended for the faint-hearted and children under 16 to watch!

calendar September 19, 2023

In this so-called house, if you step on the ‘wrong’ spot, you might lose your leg. Only ruins remain from the former school. The building was in such a horrendous condition that authorities, fearing for the students’ lives, had to close the school. What a ‘touching’ concern for the students, right? But for one family, in the eyes of the local authorities, living in this building with two children is not a problem. One more or one less family in Georgia – is it such a big deal? They think it’s not a problem! But this is how they think – those without warm Georgian hearts! But not us, and not the 94,000 subscribers of the website. Friends, please subscribe, or we might lose not just this family – there are so few of us already!)

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

In this so-called house, if you step on the ‘wrong’ spot, you might lose your leg

These ruins have become the only shelter for two wonderful children and their mom and dad.  Here, among the ruins, lives the kind Georgian Tsulaia family: mom, dad, and two children. In this dilapidated place, there’s no electricity, no water, and no gas. But when you have nowhere else to live, these bare walls are cozier than any palace!

“I’m afraid to fall asleep alone when the wind blows; it’s as if someone is whistling from the walls”

We know for sure that there will be those who will say “that’s just the way it is” and start looking for reasons instead of extending a hand…!  Unfortunately, the world is structured in such a way that no one is immune from ‘sorrow.’ We will all be judged, without exception – both the rich and the poor – not by human laws, but by the laws of conscience.  The most important thing that will interest the Lord is compassion for our neighbor! Children are certainly not guilty of anything! And they should not live worse than other Georgian children!

Irina (10 years old):  I’m so afraid of this house! I even fear sleeping alone. I huddle close to my mom.    In winter, the cold seeps through cracks in the walls, and when the wind blows, it’s terrifying beyond words. Those sounds make my skin crawl.

– When I was coming here for the interview, I couldn’t even imagine that anyone could live here. How did you end up here?

Irma: Yes, it’s really hard to imagine how one can survive in such conditions. But life can be unfair at times. When you have nowhere to live and there’s a danger of ending up on the streets with young children, there’s no choice. This building used to be an old school and it’s considered hazardous.  We occupied this space arbitrarily 10 years ago.  We don’t have the money to pay rent. A few years back, we had to take out a loan due to our child’s illness.  These debts have become a burden we can’t shake off. Half of our income – 400 lari – goes to the bank. Living in this abandoned building was an attempt to provide our children with at least a roof over their heads.  Of course, we’re ashamed that our children have to grow up in such conditions.  But we don’t want to give up.  Hope for a better future for our children and the support from those who can help us keep us afloat.

It’s hard to believe, but children live in this space

Irina: All my friends live in beautiful houses. My only dream is to have a beautiful house too. I’m willing to give up all my wishes just for that. We live in poverty; my mom couldn’t even afford to enroll me in dance classes. We don’t even have money for transportation. To renovate even a single room, a miracle would have to happen, like in fairy tales.  Without a miracle, we’ll never be able to do that.

I worry so much about the children, they need so much right now.   “Man does not live by bread alone.”  The kids are very resilient; they don’t show me their worries, but I can see how much it affects their psychological state. They feel embarrassed about their situation in front of their peers; they don’t want their friends to know about our difficulties. My daughter has cried so many times because she can’t invite anyone home.  Here, a stranger can easily hurt themselves, not knowing where it’s safe to step and where it’s not.

“I really want my friends to come visit me, but how can I invite them to this scary house?”

– Floors, walls, windows… what needs to be fixed first to create at least some kind of comfort here?

Irma: Our kind neighbors, when they saw how we were suffering in the winter, collected money, and installed four windows for us. That was a miracle for us! Just the kind of miracle my daughter told you about. We can’t gather such a huge amount of money ourselves. We barely have enough money for groceries.

“This gas bottle is the only home appliance we have – I cook food for the children on it. I’m afraid it will explode and harm us”

– Have you always lived like this?

Irma: I can’t say that our life was ever cloudless, and we didn’t know sorrow and sadness, but what’s been happening to us in recent years due to this debt is just terrible.  There’s no electricity, no water. I cook food on an old bottle that smokes, and I’m afraid it might explode one day.  We wash ourselves outside; in bad weather, it’s especially difficult. We bathe like primitive people, in basins.

“We bring water from the street”

“In the summer, washing in the yard is bearable. But can you imagine what it’s like in the freezing cold?”

Irina: There are so many things I want to do, like sports, dancing… drawing, but we don’t have money for anything. I can’t ask my mom; I know if she had money, I wouldn’t have to ask. I really want to go to dance classes, really want to play football… but I’ll have to put my desires aside. The most important thing is to fix the house first, and then everything else.

“I dream of a bicycle and a black cake”

Irakli: You know what I dream about? Just about one thing – a bicycle, and a car with a remote control, and also a black cake!

Irina: You say you dream about one thing, but you listed so many things!

Irakli: That’s how it always is!  She thinks she’s older and smarter. I remembered it as I was speaking. If you hadn’t interrupted me, I would have listed more. But now I’ve forgotten. Oh, I remembered!  Please, could you give us a TV so I can watch cartoons?  We have one phone for everyone, and we can’t agree on who gets to watch what.  My sister watches either princess or football, and I have different interests.

Children are deprived of everything… if you look at how the walls collapse every day and how the plastic wrap on the windows tears, you could go mad

Irma: Oh, they’re like little babies, truly. They are very quiet and excel at school. They never ask me for anything, they take care of me in that way. I have weak eyesight, but I don’t go to the doctor because I know I won’t be able to afford the medication they’d prescribe. I went a few years ago, they examined me and prescribed medication. They said if I don’t treat myself, I could lose my eyesight. When I went to the pharmacy, they told me it would cost 1,000 lari! I laughed and walked away! I’ll never be able to gather that much money! And even if I had 1,000 lari, I’d never spend it on myself! Children come first, then the house, the debts…

“I will never spend a thousand lari on medications that will only help me when I know that my children are suffering from the conditions they are living in”

– Irma, what kind of support do you think would help you in this situation?

Irma: We are in dire need of financial assistance to provide at least minimal living conditions for the children.  We would also be grateful for help in improving our living conditions. We need to install missing windows, repair the floor, and the children need beds. It seems unrealistic to me, but I read about how you’ve helped many people and even renovated bathrooms – that would be a salvation for us!

“I dream about many things, but everything requires money, and my family doesn’t have any”

– And you definitely need money for your examination and treatment!

Irma: I won’t ask for that!  My conscience won’t let me do it! We hope for help and support from strangers; I can’t ask for everything all at once!  I’m embarrassed. The most important thing is the children, their emotional well-being. My eyes can wait. Even if I do not see, and I know that my children live in normal conditions, I will be happy.

This kind of existence destroys not only physically but also mentally. Children, instead of games and smiles, are acquainted with fear and deprivation. We cannot leave them in this hell; we cannot let this family perish. Let the eyes of these children remind us of our duty to help those in need. We must provide them not only with physical assistance but also with the belief that the world can be kinder.

Let’s unite our efforts to overcome the darkness that has enveloped this family. May each of our good deeds be a light that penetrates through the ruins and dispels the darkness that has shrouded their lives.

If you are willing to visit this family and help them in person, here is their address: Martvili municipality, village Gachedili (Balda)

Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you!

We are sure that all together we will manage to save them from imminent death.

Please don’t forget to repost our story. Let your friends know about the grief of this family! It’s extremely important!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN!  HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

Irina: I’ll start a TikTok and download movies and videos.’

– I used to clean our home seven times a day, can you imagine? – says Irma. Any woman would go crazy from this. We had an earthen floor, and there was black dust on our things, and we breathed the dust ourselves. And when water was pouring from the roof, we just kneaded the mud with our feet.

“We used  to walk on an earthen floor, breathing in dust.”

I would never have cleaned this space in my life if you hadn’t poured cement on the floor. For this alone, I’m ready to bless and hug you. And I also want to thank you for the help with food and medications, for the gifts to my children. And for your ability to communicate with the authorities and get results.  “Out of respect for you, the head of the local administration came to us, just like that!”

Now, the floor is covered with cement, and it’s much cleaner!”

– Irma, what were the results of the authorities’ visit, what did they agree on with you?

Irma: Ramaz Khurtsilava, the head of the administration, came from Martvili, and his staff came with him. They arrived, of course, after receiving your letter. They provided us with used windows and instructed us to submit an application for roof repair – they promised to transfer 700 GEL for this. They brought a truck with sand. And we already had cement from you, so we managed to pour concrete on the floor in the ‘hall.’ I still have 20 bags of your cement. If we find sand, perhaps we can pour concrete on the floor in the other rooms.

Irakli is happy: “I can run around here as much as I want.”

But now it’s clean, the children don’t get dirty, and I have less laundry. We’re moving forward, thanks to you. The children are excited about everything new. Look, we’ve installed a new two-story bed purchased by the Fund, and they joyfully covered the entire wall with their drawings.

The children now have a new bunk bed. And as for the wallpaper, for now, those are their drawings.

Irina: I’ve drawn so much that it’s enough for both the first and second floors.  The first floor is for Irakli, the second is for me, because I’m not afraid of heights.

– Iri, what would you draw as a gift for our readers?

Irina: I would draw our Martvili waterfalls and the canyon for them. We have so much beauty here! And the most beautiful sunset in all of Georgia.  I often capture it on my new tablet. I would also add hearts to that drawing and write a huge thank you!

Irina: “I capture everything on the tablet: beautiful sunsets, selfies with friends…”

– Iri, what else do you capture on the tablet?

Irina: Selfies with friends, myself, and Irakli. For example, I took a picture of him on the bike. Nice, isn’t it? But Irakli doesn’t know how to take pictures.

Irina: ‘Here, I took Irakli’s picture, a good shot, right?’

Irakli: I know how, she just doesn’t like it.  She says, “This won’t do,” “This isn’t good,” “Take my picture again.”‘

– All the girls do that.

Irakli: Oh, I’d rather ride my new bike. I’m good on flat roads now. But I can’t go to grandma’s yet – she lives uphill. That’s something I can’t manage yet. It’s hard to ride uphill.

Irakli: “I can ride well on a flat road, but I haven’t learned to go uphill yet.’”

– You will learn this too! I’m sure you will. What would you thank our readers for, Irakli?

Irakli: Firstly, for the bike. And secondly, for mom bringing tasty things from the store: sausage, sausages, chicken… I really liked that!  Thank you so much!

Irma: I received transfers from the Fund and went for groceries. I didn’t tell the kids. When they saw me with full bags, they bombarded me with questions:   ‘Mom, where is it from?’ ‘Will we eat all this?’  ‘Who else?’  (laughs). Oh, they were thrilled. I also bought sugar, sunflower oil, beans, onions with the transfers. I even got a bag of flour – I’ll bake bread myself. Where to get money to buy bread in the store every day?

Both my son and I constantly need medications. My son inherited my problem – narrowed blood vessels. We both need ‘cavinton,’ we take ‘no-spa,’ drops… I have problems with heart, blood pressure, and I’m visually impaired. It’s peaceful to know that with your help, I’ve acquired all the medications. I also added some cold remedies, just in case. It’s not easy to avoid getting sick in our conditions.

– Irma, what would you say to our readers who participated in the project?”

Irma: We have never received so much attention. I am especially happy and grateful for my children. I wish you a carefree life, prosperity, and a good fate.  May illnesses and misfortunes pass you by thousands of kilometers.  If I only could, I would hug all of you and stand there, hugging. So you could feel how my heart beats with joy, how my eyes cry with gratitude, and how strong my appreciation is. Words cannot convey that… And my kids would come too, and they would hug you.  Am I right, Irina, Irakli?

Irakli: Sure!

Irina: And I would take selfie with them!

– Cool idea, Iri! – Irma, you still have unresolved problems.  Let’s remind everyone of them so that readers can continue their support.

Irma: Oh, Lord, are you ready to help us again!  We still don’t have water, electricity, and I dream of laying linoleum on the cement floor, completing the flooring in the remaining rooms. I’m afraid we might burden others with our problems (smiles shyly). If anyone feels like lending a hand, we would gladly and gratefully accept the assistance.

The Tsula family is trying to adapt the emergency space of an old school for housing. There is nothing to say about home comfort. It’s just a roof over their heads to avoid sleeping on the street.  Conditions remain very challenging – no electricity, no water, no appliances; the children live in dilapidated walls. The improvement of the room is not yet complete, and you can actively participate in it.

Thank you for caring about poor Georgian families.  Our children deserve nothing but a happy life.

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.

Our problems are nothing if compared… Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now… Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, and talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!
