Gagnidze Family doesn´t know how to survive the winter!

Can you imagine a dying, still young 41-year-old woman, gravely ill with a constant temperature of 39–40 degrees, sometimes managing to get out of bed to collect scrap metal just to buy medicine for herself and her severely ill children, and of course, some food? At least for them – for the children – she loves more than life! A horror that cannot be described in words! God forbid any of us to experience such a thing!!! We ask the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund to respond and take this family’s plight as their own! The most important thing God has allowed us to do in this life is not to pass by someone else’s misfortune! 
First and foremost, we need to take care of the mother. If something happens to her, God forbid, we will never forgive ourselves!  It’s unimaginable how the sick children will cope without their mother. Mom is sacred to them, that’s all they have.

18-year-old Lika, along with her three sisters and devastated mother, are crying out to our hearts and to God for help! Lika’s imminent death has a name – the terrible disease of Alzheimer’s! If we don’t help now, it could take her any day! Four years ago, a neighbor’s boy accidentally threw a stone to knock an apple from a tree, hitting Lika’s central nerve in her head. Poor child! She immediately lost consciousness and fell to the ground in terrible convulsions. That day, her joyful childhood ended.  From then on, the Tsukhishvili family’s life turned into a living hell. Lika needs expensive medication and, of course, a thorough examination in Turkey! Together, we have already saved many children in our country. We refuse to believe the verdict of Georgian doctors! May the Lord help restore Lika to a full life! But without us, His hands won’t touch the unfortunate one!

Reziko cries without ceasing. It’s not even a cry, it’s more of a moan from the pain in his spine. He can’t lie down or sit for long periods. The boy is constantly tense and can’t even straighten his fingers. It’s hard to believe, but Reziko was born perfectly healthy. Due to a medical mistake, he became disabled in an instant. Gulo (mother, 33 years old): Reziko is my first and long-awaited son. He was our joy. He grew up to be a smart boy, but when he was eight months old, he got very sick and his ears hurt a lot… I’m sorry, I can’t tell this story without tears. There’s a lump in my throat.

Even in her worst nightmares, the young 27-year-old caring mother, Gvantsa Tvlidiani, could not have imagined that, in the prime of her life, she would one day find herself with her beloved sons and daughters in a crumbling, dilapidated house in the Shanghai settlement near Tbilisi. Seven children, the youngest just 4 months old, live with rats in a room where the ceiling has collapsed. Flies and poisonous wasps are everywhere, ready to sting the poor little ones at any moment. Six children sleep with their mother on one old bed, while baby Jaki sleeps in a basket serving as a cradle. The house has no bathroom or toilet.

These children never think of leaving their MOTHERLAND – proud Georgia! Why do they have to suffer like this…
In the Zanadze family, six little angels are suffering from severe hunger! When I asked the children, none of them could remember the last time they had a proper meal. Their breakfast, lunch, and dinner consist of stale bread.
Thank you, thank you from all of Georgia – kind neighbors from the village! Despite being poor themselves, they always share food with the hungry little ones. “My daughter Mariam is only 2 years old. She has a rare disease – a cleft soft palate, and she urgently needs surgery. It’s just impossible to describe the terrible feeling when you can’t help your child simply because you don’t have the money to pay for treatment. Oh God! It hurts to write this, my heart breaks from worry, every day we have tears and screams. The little one can’t properly eat, drink, and even crying is dangerous for her. Food and water come out through her nose and can get stuck in her throat at any moment. Just imagine how the little one suffers, how a terrible cough chokes her!”

Look, auntie, we only have one little piece of bread left!” – that’s how two-year-old Nikusha greeted me at the doorstep and burst into tears bitterly. The worst part is that this piece still needs to be shared among five people. Nino, mother (30 years old): Can you imagine what a trial it is for a mother to watch her child cry from hunger? I am seriously ill, I have epilepsy. So, when my son and I were discharged from the maternity ward, I couldn’t even breastfeed him. There was no money for baby formula, we did not even have a feeding bottle. My poor son, how hard he cried, he was in agony, I thought he would suffocate! I got scared and called an ambulance. The doctors immediately realized the child was hungry, and the ambulance driver bought the baby a whole crate of formula and a bottle. Thanks to the kindness of strangers, we managed to survive!

In his two short months of life, little angel Daniel has been sick every day, and his condition worsens daily! Lord, don’t let Georgia lose another son! “I just hope it’s not grass again for breakfast for the children! I hope it’s not. – whispers young mother Eteri, while hurriedly tucking her three children into bed, planning desperately how to get food for her beloved ones. She’s only 21. So beautiful! But she’s slowly losing her lovely Georgian features, this young mother! What will her husband earn today?” Will luck be on their side?! And perhaps there will even be enough for medications? Not long ago, the infant, weakened by various viruses, developed pneumonia Doctors prescribed treatment and issued a prescription for medicine. But the unfortunate mother doesn’t even have money for that. The baby’s condition could worsen at any moment, and saving the child will no longer be possible.

This is 84-year-old Tamila Gagua. Her life is so tragic that even the Holy Mother might shed bitter tears… The story I’m about to tell will make your blood run cold. A tragedy that will be remembered for centuries. It all began many years ago, on a snowy winter day, when a lonely, widowed old woman in the village of Chognari was visited by her only son from Kaliningrad (where he was serving in the army). Her son got married there. Grandmother Tamila welcomed her daughter-in-law as her own daughter. But the most important part is yet to come. When Grandma Tamila saw her son holding a one-year-old boy with big eyes, she immediately knew it was her grandson, and she almost lost her mind with happiness. But her joy turned out to be premature. The boy was underdeveloped, he could not walk.

For five months, Georgian doctors have been unable to diagnose this unfortunate boy. Giorgi’s time is running out! Five months ago, a completely healthy boy suddenly fell ill, and since then, the sound of death’s footsteps has grown louder and louder in the Ochkhorashvili family. The child is suffocating. He coughs so loudly it seems like his lungs are torn. He has stopped talking and makes sounds as if someone has cut his vocal cords. He can only get food and water through the tube, but he vomits it back out. The oxygen machine is the only thing keeping him alive. But for how long??? The boy’s life timer is on. Turn on the video and you will hear the sounds of death! Father Giorgi and Nikoloz and Gogi’s mother are begging for help to raise money for the trip to Germany for an examination! We will announce the cost of the surgery once we receive the papers! Lord, help! Since there are already very few of us left in Georgia….

“Sikoria deda,” Ketevan repeats and cries again. Then she obediently allows Matsatso to take care of her. She eats soup from a spoon and listens to the praise of how good a girl she is. Matsatso changes her diaper and takes her for a little ride in a wheelchair around the yard. And the tears keep flowing. Her right arm is immobile, and her right leg is too. Her tongue is unresponsive and sluggish. Her eyes see nothing… This is what the stroke did to Ketevan. No, this is what a state can do to a person. Look at the helpless Ketevan and be careful! This is the high price one can pay for trying to get help from the state.

Despite unbearable pain, the unfortunate woman moves to the bathroom or to help her elderly mother! Horror! A loving, elderly mother, barely able to stand, holds the legs of her beloved daughter with her last strength! Meet our new ward, friends. 41-year-old Natia from Batumi has no one except her elderly mother. The cavity in the body of the young woman is so deep you can see the bone. The “hole” is full of pus and worms. The unfortunate mother, with tears in her eyes, looks at the sky and asks the lord to heal her daughter. For this, only one operation is needed. Natia needs an operation to “freeze the bones.” But it costs up to $20,000, and we are currently preparing the necessary documents to send the unfortunate ones to Turkey!

This is Roma Tordia. He is 18 years old and has been in a coma for a year. Roma Tordia was once a successful professional dancer, a multiple gold medalist, a son that all of Samegrelo and Georgia were proud of. This exceptionally talented boy was predicted to have a great future. But on July 3, 2023, a tragic accident turned the sky of Samegrelo black. The thunderous news broke: “Roma was in an accident and seems to have died.” The doomed cries of his mother and grandmothers reached the heavens. Even the rocks wept for the boy who grew up as an orphan.

Nona (34 years old): I have been confined to a wheelchair since childhood. It’s so hard to talk about, but I can’t walk at all. Even with assistance. Not a single step, no matter how hard I try. I’m trapped within four walls and hardly ever go out. That’s why I decided to call your Fund. You have so many friends, and I want to befriend them and hope for help!

His psychopathic father forced his severely ill son to beg on the streets. With the money Giorgi collected, the father would get drunk and then beat his son with an iron rod. This is our new problem, friends! A very serious case! 21-year-old Giorgi was born with Down syndrome. He cannot walk or talk and has the mental capacity of a three-year-old child. Giorgi lives in a damp basement infested with rats. His bed is so uncomfortable that even a stray dog wouldn’t sleep on it. Rusty wires sticking out from the bed cause Giorgi pain, and when he sleeps, rainwater drips from the ceiling.

This is fourteen-year-old Saba. Confined to a wheelchair, he suffers from terrible pain. Saba has had cerebral palsy since birth and cannot walk. His legs are so severely twisted that he can’t stand on them for even a second. What did this little angel do to deserve such torment? Saba is cut off from the world. Yes, the child is cut off from the world… Oh, how awful those words sound. You live in this world, but you are rejected by it. Just imagining it makes one’s blood run cold.

A miserable old woman walks around the yard, hitting her cheek with her hand. God, how much she suffers! She says a few words and cries, says something else, and tears choke her again. That’s what Asiat says: “Sometimes I think my life is worthless. I sometimes think it would have been better to burn in this cursed trailer. This is what my life has come to in old age! I’ve been left to the mercy of fate.””This was our home, my husband walked in this yard, he was the joy of my life… Everything I loved has been taken from me. Only memories remain. And they are so heavy. I can’t breathe, I can’t sleep… All the time, I see the fire in my eyes that is consuming my life!” After the fire, Asiat settled in this makeshift shelter. But can anyone really live here? In winter, she huddled with one relative or another. “Thank God there are kind people in the world,” says the miserable old woman. “Some can even shelter stray animals. That’s what I’ve become.”

Alexey recalls that fateful day with horror. He survived by miracle. If not for divine intervention, his son Giorgi would have been orphaned, and his wife Ketevan widowed. God! We live on the edge every day, and nothing is certain! Aleksi: That day started like any other. I went to the field, as usual. But fate had a terrible trial in store for me. An enraged bull attacked me suddenly, without warning. The animal threw me off my horse and tossed me around like a toy, and it seemed like it was going to crush me with its powerful hooves. That day, I was born again. Let’s unite and support the family of Aleksi Dimitrishvili. By helping others, we help ourselves as well, bringing us closer to God and to each other.

We are so happy that our videos and posts have an immediate reaction! Gio Sisauri from a large family dreamed of a birthday with a cake and guests. This post deeply touched his wonderful teacher Ani Buzaladze, and she immediately gathered Gio’s classmates. On his birthday, the unsuspecting Gio was surprised by his entire class with hugs and gifts! We are moved by Ani’s actions and thank her from the bottom of our hearts. Similarly, with tears of joy, we thank all the friends of the Fund who have significantly helped the Sisauri family in such a short period of time.

We thank you, Lord, for guiding us to this family, for allowing us to meet your angels in time! It is frightening to imagine what could have happened if we hadn’t arrived in their lives. We would have heard from the news that a large Georgian family was found under the rubble of their own home! Oh, dear! Or they would have died of hunger… The family could have disappeared from the face of the earth, and it wouldn’t have pricked the conscience of those responsible for them at all.

Among these seven unfortunate souls, one adult is gravely ill, and two children are deprived of their childhood and exposed to deadly diseases! Friends, there is no one else to help them but us! Little Anastasia and Darina sometimes cough so hard they can’t breathe and can’t sleep at night. They live right next to a stone quarry, where a large machine crushes stones from morning until late evening, making sounds like something out of a horror movie. “Our lungs are filled with dust… our ears hurt from all this noise.. They don’t give us water and they threaten to destroy our wagon,” the little girls greeted the Fund reporter with these words.

The first thing Saba does when he wakes up is turn on the light and look at his hands. “Today,” he says, flashing a charming smile to avoid upsetting both me, the reporter, and his beloved mother, “I was very lucky; I woke up with my sight. Thirty percent – that’s how much vision I have in one eye. I can see my hands, which means there isn’t a happier boy in the whole world! I wash up and snuggle up to my mom! What a beautiful face she has! And such warm, loving hands!” But now… God is great! We’ve found a doctor in Turkey who guarantees a corneal transplant for my child and the restoration of most of his vision for $15,000! Can you imagine? Saba will be able to see again! He is such a smart boy! And his smile is incredible! The whole country will love him! And he will be able to repay his country with his service, no matter who he becomes, for he is an extraordinary person!

In the beautiful Georgian eyes of 7-year-old Giorgi lies all the pain of our land! He is very hungry! And between him and his older brother Lasha, they only have a small piece of bread for the whole day! Giorgi is very afraid that Lasha might take it all for himself! This is how they live in this wreck of a place that can’t even be called a shed. It doesn’t even have a window. Light enters the room only through the door. The gaps in the ceiling and walls are so large that it wouldn’t even be safe to keep chicks in there! Here live, if it can be called living, two perpetually hungry children—7-year-old Giorgi and his older brother, 10-year-old Lasha—along with their nearly blind and severely ill mother, Madonna, who has been disabled since childhood.

For 18 years, a mother has been feeding her sick son with her own hands. Luka has been intellectually disabled since birth, and he cannot talk – he only makes some sounds. As if the suffering from the illness of one child wasn’t enough, fate dealt another cruel blow to this unfortunate mother – her 5-year-old daughter, Mariam, was diagnosed with an intellectual disability too. Mariam also struggles to talk. This mother, deprived by life, does not have the money to take her children to a doctor. The mother suffers, the children suffer.

Over the course of 5 years, 38-year-old Alena underwent 16 hours-long difficult operations with Georgian doctors. How she remained alive is simply a miracle! There was no one to help her! The doctors periodically examined her, reassured her, but shrugged their shoulders and seemed to be just waiting for her to die so that she wouldn’t interfere with their life in peace! And when we at the fund saw her terrible situation, we rushed to help her along with the friends of the fund! She also has a minor child living with her! So terrible!

“I can no longer bear this pain, not just of the body, but also of the soul and heart, because I cannot find an explanation for why I have so upset my beloved God that He has chosen such terrible suffering for me!” Keep believing in God, dear child! And you will recall our conversation when God soon heals you! We share stories like yours so that the friends of the Fund open their hearts to the suffering of others. Looking at you, God gives us a chance to show our true soul, not just the words we say about ourselves to others! The spinal hernia that has tormented your legs can be treated in Turkey. So let’s pray that more people feel your pain! We just need the funds to find you the best doctor and hospital!

The goal of our Fund is to open the hearts of the fund’s friends to the Lord! And the Lord shows us more and more new misfortunes! Thank you, Lord! Because from story to story, we increasingly become the people You intended us to be when You created mankind! Meet Maia! She is a former orphanage resident and she was sheltered by kind people for some time. Maia is 58 years old! She is lonely and deeply, deeply unhappy! And in her old age, she suddenly found herself in the position of a homeless dog! In November 2023, my room burned down in the dorm where I lived, – says Maya- you can’t imagine what it’s like to turn into a homeless dog at my age! Because the local authorities put me in a completely demolished former police station! Fate turned away from her early in her childhood when her parents left her and placed her in an orphanage. Little Maia sat by the window, waiting for her mother to come for her… waiting to be remembered.

Instead of bringing the joyful news of her son’s birth to the young mother Eliso, they said: ‘Oh, mother, how unlucky you are! You gave birth to a sick boy. Leave him. Turn him over to the research institute. He will only bring you suffering. He won’t live anyway…’ It was from these words that the beautiful and carefree life of the woman began to crumble. And for 25 years now, her soul has been consumed by pain and endless sorrow. Eliso: ‘Leave him here, in the research institute,’ they advised, hoping to use my little son for their experiments. But I couldn’t allow my son to be turned into a guinea pig. Since then, I’ve sold the house, taken on debt, and gone everywhere with the child in search of a cure! I refused to listen to those doctors who said that Giorgi was hopeless. But when the doctors had exhausted all our resources, they told us that cerebral palsy was incurable! That was the doctors’ verdict! Now he is 25, and he has not uttered a single word. He can’t even say where

The scoundrel husband left the unfortunate woman as soon as he found out that their son was born with a terrible disease – autism! Georgi clings to his mother like a child who can’t live a day without her love. So handsome and so miserable. Two deeply unhappy people, two tragedies. Mother and son—they are alone in this cruel world. Without means to live, without food and medications, and with the relentless threat from their landlord to throw them out like dogs onto the street! to this joyless life with all I have. Because if I die, what will happen to Giorgi? His father and my other child—my daughter—forgot about us long ago. Sometimes Eteri looks sadly at old photos, remembering when she was happy! Besides Giorgi, she had a beloved daughter, Nini. Such a sweet little girl. But as she grew, by the age of 14, she suddenly became cruel! She lost her heart and conscience, never to be found again by her dying mother!

Not long ago, the eyes of the four little Berdzenishvili children from Saguramo were filled with sadness and fear. The little angels were eating dry bread.  Eleven-year-old Dachi went to school in old clothes. The beautiful sisters – Barbare, Nini, and Anastasia – dreamed of toys and new dresses. The children slept on rusty beds, and their bones ached. The children’s father is ill and unable to work, and their mother couldn’t leave the children alone, so poverty had taken deep root in their home, and hopelessness shone through the eyes of the four little angels. Today, for the first time, their eyes shine with happiness because a miracle has happened and all their wishes have come true. We share with you a photo collage that once again convinces us that kindness is a blessing from God within us.  With every good deed we come closer to the Lord.
