The Kravchenko family lives in a nightmare! Atrophy and glaucoma took away the sight of Koba, the father of the family. Irina, his wife, lost two babies and has been grieving for them ever since. But the main pain of parents is two adult children who suffer from cerebral palsy! 20-year-old Diana has autism in addition to cerebral palsy. She can hardly walk. She was operated on her legs twice and she needs to be operated for the third time. The state of Diana’s brother – 13-year-old Igor – is even worse. He can’t walk. He entirely depends on his mom and dad.

“Caution! Slow down! Stop! Danger!” Probably it is safer to walk in a minefield than in this house. Having worked for many years at the Fund and having seen the primitive living conditions, we sometimes think that we got already used to such houses. But alas! It is impossible to get used to this.

– There are many of them, I saw it myself! And we have holes in the walls, what if a snake crawls into the house and bites us?! – says 10-year-old Bachuki with his eyes wide open. He and his brothers – 4-year-old Gegi, 2-year-old Dato, 13-year-old Mate live in a wooden dilapidated shed, which cannot be called a house!
“It’s terribly cold here in winter and hot in summer. Moreover, the house is in such a state that it’s about to collapse! – Izo (36 years old), the mother of four wonderful boys, cries and shows us the walls of the falling down shed “insulated” with cardboard where they have to live.
– The walls are rotten through! But what can we do? We don’t have enough money even for food.
