Beautiful Barbara was born with a rare anomaly – one leg is shorter than the other by as much as 16 centimeters! She would like to run and jump like other children, but the girl can barely walk, leaning on her short leg. Barbara, 9 years old: You know, I love my short leg! Even though it hurts. I get tired quickly; I cannot walk for long, much less run. I hardly leave the house. Moreover, if I do, they carry me in their arms. I feel very sorry for my grandmother, because I’m heavy, she gets tired. Her back hurts afterwards. The Turkish clinic can help the child. The surgeon agreed to perform a complex operation. He gave guarantees that Barbara will not only be able to stand on her feet, but even run and play sports.

This is 7-year-old Alina. Look at these photos and you will immediately understand that the little angel is fighting death with all her might. The girl does not give up, but her little heart can no longer stand it. She can no longer endure this. Who knows, maybe one day she will surrender to death forever. No!!! No!!! We must not allow this! We must not leave the little girl alone in the face of death, otherwise we will never forgive ourselves. Imagine the moral suffering this young woman endures! And she still has to become a wife and mother! For a woman, being disabled is one of the greatest tragedies in the world! Those of you reading this post right now, imagine for a moment your beloved daughter suffering from such a terrible physical defect! Thanks to modern technology, it’s possible to restore this beautiful girl to full health. But she needs Western doctors and very expensive materials. Ani is too shy to ask for help with getting a prosthesis. “How can I bother strangers?” she whispered, bowing her head so that I, the reporter, wouldn’t see the tears in her eyes. Dear friends! At the Fund, we are confident that as you read these words, kind hearts will see in this lovely girl a daughter, a sister, or even a granddaughter.  By showing compassion, we can give a new life to this beautiful and shy Georgian girl. She will tell her children about the kindness of her compatriots, and most importantly, that only good deeds bring us closer to the Lord. No one in the world can do more for God! Help us, Lord!

Their living conditions are heartbreaking. The woman, who suffers from spine issues, sleeps on a wooden couch; they need beds, mattresses, and warm clothing. The roof leaks so badly that during rain, water pours inside as if they were outdoors. The windows are old, broken, and drafty, making the room freezing cold. They don’t have a heater or firewood; a kind neighbor lent them a heater, but they must return it in ten days, and they’ll be left shivering.  If they fall ill, they won’t have money for fever medicine. Winter is approaching, the weather is worsening, and rain is frequent, making it harder for them to leave the house. Nona and Nino don’t even own warm jackets!  Our support is more crucial than ever for these two vulnerable women. They are waiting for the support of Chernovetskyi Fund friends.  Let’s help them through the winter – let’s give them a chance at life.

This is fourteen-year-old Saba. Confined to a wheelchair, he suffers from terrible pain. Saba has had cerebral palsy since birth and cannot walk. His legs are so severely twisted that he can’t stand on them for even a second. What did this little angel do to deserve such torment? Saba is cut off from the world. Yes, the child is cut off from the world… Oh, how awful those words sound. You live in this world, but you are rejected by it. Just imagining it makes one’s blood run cold.

This is the horrible scene we witnessed when we visited the Javellidze family. 11-year-old Mariam had so severe attack, she couldn’t even breathe. Thank God, kind neighbors rushed in and helped her mother revive the poor child. Mariam’s mom is a group 2 disabled person. Do you think these terrifying attacks are the only problem this girl faces? Unfortunately, no. Brace yourself, now I have to tell you the worst part. This little girl has a disease that usually doesn’t occur in children her age. At just 11 years old, Mariam has a severe form of diabetes. This horrible disease started one year ago. But what I’m about to tell you will chill you to the bone. This 11-year-old child injects herself with insulin every day. God, it’s unbelievable!
