David spent only five months in his mother’s womb… When he was born, he weighed just 500 grams. Doctors told his devastated mother that he had almost no chance of survival. 

But God worked a miracle, he saved this little boy’s life

Weeks, months, and years passed. David grew, and his face radiated kindness. One look at him, and you would know—this child was saved by the hand of God and the Virgin Mary. But the consequences of his premature birth took their toll—he couldn’t walk. The tendons in both his legs were so tight that he couldn’t even bend his knees. 

For six years, this poor child writhed in pain on the floor, suffering unbearable agony

Recently, the Ministry of Health of Adjara fully paid for the child’s expensive surgery. A few days ago, the boy returned to his homeland. But now the child needs rehabilitation.

Ia (mother of the child): “I am very grateful to the Ministry of Health of Adjara. As soon as they found out about my child’s health condition, they immediately financed the operation.   But the child needs long-term rehabilitation. But I don’t have the opportunity to pay for it. Besides David, I have two other small children. We live in the village of Achkvistavi, in the Kobuleti district, right on the mountainside. The snow is so deep right now that if I needed an ambulance for my son, it wouldn’t even be able to reach us. That makes me even more anxious.”

Ia (mother of the child): “And on top of that, one question haunts me – how will I take my poor boy abroad on March 13 when I can’t even afford a basic doctor’s consultation? My heart is breaking… My boy was born under an unlucky star, but this ‘500-gram baby’ fought so hard for his life that he survived. And now, poverty is threatening his future. I have no one to rely on except kind-hearted people. I believe they will save us.”

Little David is still recovering from post-surgery trauma and stress. This poor child doesn’t even know that his future is being decided right now – will he be able to walk, or will he spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair?

Dear friends of the Fund, here’s the urgent situation, David must be taken to a foreign clinic by March 13. If he misses this deadline, not only will the surgery have been for nothing, but his condition could become even worse than before. What is his mother supposed to do? How can she possibly afford a plane ticket abroad? How can she pay for expensive medical examinations, consultations, treatments, rehabilitation, and the countless other procedures he needs – expenses that add up to an enormous sum? This is a chain reaction – if David misses even one step, or if it’s delayed, his last hope of walking will be lost forever.

Kind-hearted people, we cannot allow this little angel’s life to end in the same tragedy as his father’s. May God protect all children from such suffering. 

Sadly, David’s father passed away three years ago.
One day, while he was sitting in his car, a tree suddenly fell on it. And then… and then… something even more terrible happened… David’s poor mother was left alone with three young children, but she fought through every hardship, protecting them like a lioness guarding her cubs. But now, she has reached her breaking point…
