Medea: “Since birth, she hasn’t been able to see or hear. She cried constantly, day and night. We’ve raised her through suffering. Many people advised us to abandon the sick child, but we never even considered doing so. As long as my husband and I are alive, we will be by our daughter’s side.” Mariam has such severe convulsions that her mother fears she might break her bones. Can you imagine the pain and suffering this little girl endures? Not every adult could bear it!
