Thanks to you, dear friends, these three little Georgian boys now have a home of their own! You’ve brought happiness to yet another Georgian child, friends! And he asked us to tell you – he feels like he’s flying! His family has a new home now – all thanks to you, the wonderful friends of the Fund. The Merabishvili family’s dreams keep coming true!
Let’s smile, my friends! It’s because of all of you that little Anton is filled with happiness! His smile is meant just for you!
– I’ll catch up to you guys now! – Anton yells to the neighborhood kids on their bikes. They don’t know it yet, but he really is about to catch them! The Fund’s friends already bought Anton and his family a home, so he no longer has to use a basin as a shower or a rusty bucket as a toilet. And now – he’s got a wonderful bike, so he doesn’t have to chase after the other kids with a broken heart!
On a sunlit path lined with blooming roses, our boy flies like a bird! Today, Anton’s path is lined not with thorns, but with flowers. Thank you, thank you, friends! You made it happen! He’s in the lead!
Anton: I’m going to ride my bike into town. Dad and Dani and Davi can take the bus – I’ll ride my bike. And I’ll go pick cherries too. I know where some trees are. Whatever doesn’t fit in my pockets, I’ll put in the bike basket.
Oh, where did Anton get those bright red clown cheeks? Oh wow – Dani has them too! And David! Of course – it’s the new markers you gave them! And the school supplies, and toys from the Fund’s kind friends!
Dear friends, let’s make sure that when Anton, Dani, and David wash off those “clown cheeks,” everything is still okay. So they don’t cry from hunger, or from not having diapers. Because that’s what will make their smiles real – not painted-on.
- A family with a dad and three young children needs a refrigerator. We’re responsible for the children’s safety, so they don’t get food poisoning from spoiled meals.
- They need a gas stove – so Dad can cook proper food, and the kids don’t get stomach issues from eating poor-quality meals cooked on a gas canister.
- They need bedding – mattresses, blankets, pillows. The children deserve to sleep on clean, new items.
- David shouldn’t be wearing rags instead of diapers! That can cause inflammation and urinary tract infections.
- They need clothing and shoes – so the boys can have a change of clothes. One T-shirt and shorts for the entire summer is just too sad.
- Let’s do some cosmetic renovations and install interior doors. The current decor is Soviet-era and needs to be updated.
- Food!
