A little straight-A student, Georgia’s pride, does her homework on her lap and goes to school in the same clothes every day. “Other children have everything… and I have nothing,” 11-year-old Anna-Maria cries. Will we really leave her dreams unanswered?

Friends, today we want to introduce you to a sweet and very kind girl – Anna-Maria. She is a hardworking student who loves math and Georgian. But her parents cannot afford even the most basic school supplies.

Anna-Maria doesn’t even have her own desk. She does her homework… on her laps. 

Anna-Maria (11-year-old): “I need notebooks, pencils, pens… a backpack. And clothes. I don’t want to fall behind in school.”

She goes to school in the same clothes and shoes every single day. She simply has nothing else.

She hasn’t had a single toy in her childhood. Not one. 

Anna-Maria (11-year-old): “I dream of a big Barbie doll… one that can walk and sing. Other children have everything… and I have nothing.”

Anna-Maria is a child who thinks about her education, not entertainment. A child who asks for very little – just the chance to be like everyone else.

Anna-Maria (11-year-old): “I need a phone so I can look up information, study, and learn new things…”
