A Teacher’s Cruelty Turned 11-Year-Old Anna-Maria’s Bright, Colorful World Black and White

Look at 11-year-old Anna-Maria and the tears in her eyes. 

She used to attend music classes and loved every minute of them. But eventually, her struggling mother could no longer afford the lessons. When Anna-Maria explained the situation to her teacher, she was told: “Come back when your mother can pay for the classes.”

That’s what happens when some people have a stone in their chest instead of a heart.

Anna-Maria lives in the village of Natsiskvilari in Georgia’s Lagodekhi Municipality. Anna-Maria, a child from a struggling family, still dreams that one day a kind-hearted person will tell her: 

“Anna-Maria, your music lessons have been paid for.  Get ready – today you’ll have your first lesson with your new teacher.”
