The life of a young woman, Inga, and her three small sons has turned into a struggle for survival. Six months ago, the family lost their sole breadwinner. An instant death from a blood clot took away the children’s beloved father. He was the cemetery caretaker. Although the family lived modestly, the children lacked for nothing. Mariam miraculously survived a horrific car accident. It was a fateful taxi ride, and another car crashed into theirs at high speed. Two people died on the spot, and doctors can say they pieced the young woman back together. Most of her vital organs were damaged, and she had to have her spleen and gallbladder removed. She needs another surgery to remove the painful growth you see on her stomach. One growth has already been removed. Every time Gela experiences an attack, he feels like he’s saying goodbye to life.  The ambulance might not make it in time to save him.   He struggles to breathe, unable to take even a single breath in or out. An oxygen concentrator is Gela’s only chance to survive, but he doesn’t have the money to buy one. His disability pension and 30-lari social allowance can’t even cover the medications cost. Every time he has an attack, the ambulance team has to come and revive him. Friends, Gela doesn’t remember a single joyful day in his life.  He was in fourth grade when his mother got sick, and he had to take on the responsibility of caring for the family.   This little boy milked a cow and cooked meals all by himself. He’s been through so much hardship and deserves a peaceful old age and the most basic comfort.  There’s no one else he can turn to but us!  Together, we can give Gela a chance to keep living!

Freezing orphans spotted a pile of damp firewood and hurried to carry it home to light their stove. While their father was alive, he would bring firewood every morning to warm the house before the children left for school. After his death, everything in the Gulishvili family changed. Their happy childhood vanished in an instant, and these little angels were thrown into the harsh reality of survival. Who knows, perhaps their father is looking down in sorrow, unable to rest in peace knowing his children are in such misery. But we cannot let this continue! These little angels, left without a father, have only one hope—you, kind-hearted people!
