Karina: “These are the exercises I do with my daughter every day. It’s our entire treatment! Sometimes, we don’t even have enough money for food! And I’m walking around in torn shoes myself!”
“The problem is, I often suffer from terrible headaches too! But going for a consultation – there’s no money for that! And then I’m helpless… And my heart aches for my child!”
How far is a mother willing to go for the health of her child? What sacrifices is she ready to make? How many days can she go without food, and how many years can she wear the same torn shoes, just to ensure her only joy isn’t deprived? And how long can she ignore her excruciating headaches that are killing her?
“My daughter is my whole world. I have no one but her and we’re alone in this entire world! How we manage to survive – I don’t know. But perhaps God loves my Juliette and won’t leave us.”

Lali (9-year-old): “Look how fairly Mama split this piece of bread between us! The only bad thing is that sometimes we have no food at all… Then my tummy hurts, and I can’t even run because I’m so weak. And Mama didn’t save any bread for herself. They say all moms are like that.”

Ketevan, mother (26 years old): “My husband is seriously ill – he has tuberculosis and a stomach condition. He barely eats anything. But we have no money for doctors or medicine. Our first concern is feeding the kids.  Please help us get medical checkups. If something happens to my husband, what will become of my children? Who will take care of them? We survive only on social allowance. We have to buy food on credit—just to stay alive.”

Dear friends, the children need beds, warm blankets, clothes – and most importantly, food. They also need a repaired roof and a new window so they can stay warm and dry when it rains. These little ones have already suffered too much. But we can ease their suffering. Please help this large family in need.

After his stroke, Tariel is completely helpless. His right arm is paralyzed, and later, due to gangrene, his leg had to be amputated. For him, every day is a fight for survival. For his family, it’s a constant battle with fear, uncertainty, and the pain of being unable to help.

Aluna, Tariel’s spouse (49-year-old): “My husband and I are raising three children with disabilities.  Our daughters were born with intracranial pressure; they have brain damage. They can’t do anything on their own—I take care of everything: I dress them, feed them, bathe them, brush their teeth. And I’ve been doing this for 17 years.  What wouldn’t a mother do for her children? My husband used to help, but now he needs care himself. His heart couldn’t bear the pain of watching his daughters suffer.”

Aluna: “The children need medicine to improve their brain circulation, but I haven’t been able to buy any for a year and a half because we have no money. I can’t go to work – who would I leave my sick children and husband with?”

The poor man spends his days in an old wheelchair, which is falling apart. Just look at it – the wheels don’t even have tires. Every little bump causes him unbearable pain. Friends, Tariel urgently needs a proper wheelchair! But there’s no money to buy one.

It’s been a whole year since Tariel last left the second floor of their home! The last time he needed to go to the hospital, they had to call emergency rescuers just to carry him out of the house. Can you even imagine that?

Easter is near. And even when something seems impossible – through God, all things are possible. Kind-hearted friends, we at the Fund truly believe that together – just as we’ve done many times before – we can work a real miracle and send Mariam abroad for examination and treatment. If the Turkish doctors confirm that the surgeries are possible, we’ll keep you updated every step of the way. And please, pray. Pray. Pray. We ask this of you with all our hearts. Elza’s life is nothing but suffering.  She was born with a severe form of scoliosis. Her spine is so badly twisted that the constant pain makes her vision go dark, crushes her lungs, and leaves her gasping for air.

A massive hump on her back makes it difficult to sleep, breathe, or walk.

Elza (41 years old): “I can’t take this pain anymore. I didn’t sleep a single minute last night! What did I do to deserve this suffering since birth? Why is God punishing me like this?”

Despite her condition, Elza sleeps on an old, collapsing couch. All night long, she moans in agony. Painkillers don’t help, and she can’t afford to see a doctor.  Her only income is a disability allowance and her mother’s small pension. But it’s nowhere near enough for treatment.

Elza: “If I don’t take my medication on time, I could die. But at this point, I’m not even afraid of hell after death—because I’m already living in it!”

As if her spinal disease weren’t enough, Elza also has diabetes. She’s run out of test strips to monitor her blood sugar, and she has no money for medicine. Just a few days ago, she collapsed and was unconscious for a long time. You know what that means. Her biggest fear is slipping into a coma and never waking up again.
