Up to 750 refugee families received Easter presents

The Government of
Abkhazia organized another charity event for refugees. In the framework of the
community “Caring for each other” organized by the Government of Abkhazia and
Supreme Council of Abkhazia up to 750 refugee families received Easter presents.

The representatives
of the Government of Abkhazia congratulated the refugees with Annunciation and
handed over different food products. The event attended Acting Chairman of the Government
of Abkhazia Vakhtang Kolbaia and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of
Abkhazia Gia Gvazava.

The local
business-organizers, NGOs and private persons were involved in the event.
Unlike the previous event each employee of the Government of Abkhazia and the
Supreme Council of Abkhazia participated in the Easter charity event and they
made their contribution to organization of purchase of products.

“In the framework
of the event the products were handed over to veterans and disabled persons,
disabled persons of I group of Abkhazian war, underage disabled children and
children with leukemia, families with many children, single mothers and other
persons”, – it was stated in the Government of Abkhazia.

According to them,
the refugees will receive Easter presents tomorrow as well. The acting Chairman
of the Government of A/R Abkhazia Vakhtang Kolbaia handed over certificates to
all organizations, individual participants, members of the Government of
Abkhazia, Sukhumi State University, companies and representatives of the NGOs
for their involvement.

“The aim of the
next charity event is to support people and introduction of volunteerism in
Georgia. The Easter presents will be distributed in the regions of Georgia”, –
it was stated in the Government of Abkhazia

“Solidarity Fund”
of the Government of A/R Abkhazia and the community “Caring for each other”
organized the first large-scale event on New Year’s days. In the framework of
the event up to 700 IDPs received Christmas gifts.
