Every breath Vazha takes could be his last. The life of this father of three now depends on a broken oxygen concentrator. If we don’t replace it in time, his children could lose their father. His family simply cannot afford a new one.

Vazha suffers from severe heart and lung failure. 

Imagine this…
A man begins to suffocate.

His children cry out in fear.

His wife calls an ambulance.

The doctors rush him to the intensive care unit once again.

A few days later, he comes home.

To the same… broken oxygen concentrator.

And then it all happens again. 

Six-year-old Kato already knows the sound of an ambulance siren better than children’s songs.

Every time she hears it, she thinks:

“Daddy must be dying again…”

Every night, Vazhaa goes to bed not knowing whether he will wake up the next morning.

Most families say, “Good night.”

In the Gaprindashvili family, they say something very different:

“Please… just keep breathing.”

Before he hugs his daughter, Vaja first checks whether the oxygen tube is long enough.

Because even a few steps without oxygen can trigger another life-threatening attack.

We would not be sharing this appeal only because Vazha needs a new oxygen machine. A machine alone cannot save him. He needs medication every day. The mold growing on the walls must also be removed – it is poisoning the air his children breathe as well. The family has no money for his medications, a new oxygen machine, or even the repairs their home desperately needs. All of these things together are what can give this family a chance to go on living.

His old oxygen concentrator can no longer be repaired.

It could stop working completely at any moment.

And if it does, only one thing will stand between Vazha and death:

whether the ambulance arrives in time.

The family lives in a dilapidated house. 

When it rains, water runs down the walls.

Black mold fills the air Vazha breathes and, with each passing day, further weakens his already damaged lungs.

And at night, Vazha is afraid of more than just suffocating.

He lies awake thinking:

“Please, don’t let the roof collapse on my children…”

We cannot cure Vazha.

But we can help make sure his children no longer spend every night waiting for the sound of an ambulance siren.

We can give this father the greatest gift of all – another breath. The Lord has placed Vazha’s life in our hands. We simply must act before it’s too late.
