The former Kiev Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi residing in Kobuleti decided to
help the families of the deceased in the flood in Tbilisi with 110 000
GEL.
“I express my deepest condolences to Georgians, the families of the
deceased and the lost on this awful tragedy that was caused by a flood in
Tbilisi. Unfortunately, once more it was proved that a human cannot cope with
the disaster…
I feel deep respect and admiration towards Georgian people for their unity
and mutual support that I saw on TV and through other media these last 2 days,
where it is clearly shown how the whole population of Tbilisi helps the
rescuers.
Especially I would like to single out the young people who were working
hard in order to restore the city after such a disaster… The country that has
such young generation definitely has a bright future…
I am sure the damages caused by the flood will be eliminated as soon as
possible. Unfortunately, the lives of the people cannot be returned… Let their
spirits rest in peace!”
