They are afraid of their house, they are afraid that the roof, which they could not fix after the fire, will collapse on their heads. They miraculously managed to escape from the fire, but they will certainly die under their roof. “It will probably bring relief to many people,” – Gulnazi says. There is no irony in her words. She really thinks so. She also thinks that their family is superfluous, because no one cares about them.

REPOST, MY GOOD MAN! LET YOUR FRIENDS ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORK OF MERCY!

Fire devours everything that has been built and created over the years, in a matter of minutes. And when your blood relative is the cause of the fire it hurts you even more. They know that it was their uncle who set their house on fire. The investigation is still underway. In our story there is certainly no room for this bastard who doomed the family to death. They already have enough to tell us about.

Imagine, the fire destroyed everything! The state decided that 4,800 GEL was enough to repair a house after a fire, to make new roof, to buy clothes, appliances, furniture and be happy… You probably understand, that it was not enough even to repair a piece of the roof.

They had to take credit to repair the roof. They will have to pay it off for another three years

We had to take the loan from the bank, and we must pay off the amount, which is almost double the funds that our family earns. Let’s calculate together: social allowance – 450 GEL plus grandmother’s pension – 200 GEL, and that’s it! And they have to pay off 800 GEL per month to the bank! Giorgi Martashvili, despite his deplorable physical condition, cannot sit back and watch his family turn into beggars. He finds the strength and goes to work. His job is not easy – he is a gravedigger. “I don’t really like making money on someone else’s grief so that I don’t starve to death myself,” – he says, – “but I simply don’t see any other way out.”

Officials don’t care about these children – the main thing for them is that their own children sleep on good beds.

But the worst thing in this story is that 10-year-old Irodi has to help his dad. He knows that dad is not able to do all the work alone. He had been operated on his arm recently. If he does not spare himself, he may lose his hand.

“It’s not difficult for me – the buckets with the soil are not that heavy,” – the boy says. – “Sometimes it’s scary, but I’m not alone there, I’m together with my dad. And who is there to be afraid of? Only the dead are there – they can’t offend you”.

There is no need to be afraid of them, they certainly will not set fire to the house.

Living people are more dangerous than the dead. The dead cannot offend you

 – Don’t you go to school?

Irodi (10 years old): Sometimes I do. If the weather is damp, I don’t go, I have no shoes. To be honest, I don’t really like school. It seems to me that they don’t like me there.

 – What do you like doing?

Irodi: I do not even know. I help my dad. When mom asks me to do something, I do it. So, probably, I like riding a bike. But I don’t know for sure.

  – So, your dream is to have a bicycle?

Irodi: Not really! What are you talking about! I would like to have something for my home, for my family! We don’t even have plates. There are no pillows or blankets. Who cares about the bicycle?

 – Your dreams are not really childish.

Irodi: I know. I am not a child. My sister is. She doesn’t realize what happened to us. It will get cold soon, and we can just freeze.

Not a single living place was left in this house

 – Gulnazi, it’s just terrible what happened to you.

Gulnazi: You can’t even imagine! I still can’t believe that my uncle could do this to us.

– Why did he do it? Do you have any idea?

Gulnazi: This is the house of his parents – my grandparents. My mom left me when I was four months old, and I was raised by my grandparents – the sweetest and kindest people on earth. I am like a daughter to them. I didn’t know my mother. Despite the fact that she lived next door, she refused to communicate with me at all. I made some attempts to win her love, but I failed. My father was murdered four years ago… His murderer has not been found yet. One can say I was orphaned with my mother alive. But my grandparents took the place of all my relatives! And they left this house to me by will. So, I think that was the reason why my uncle got mad and took revenge on us. He didn’t even spare his own mother. God will judge him. Accusations will not help now. It will get cold soon, and we actually live in the street!

Being at home, but in the open air

 – Did you ask for help?

Gulnazi: Yes! They have estimated damage at one hundred thousand GEL, but they only allocated four thousand and eight hundred to us. It is so funny! What can you buy with this money? We were not even able to repair a part of the roof with it. So, we had to take a loan. You already know about it. I do not understand how we manage to survive. Someone brings us some flour, someone else brings clothes for children. That’s how we live. I addressed you with the hope that you will admit us into your ranks. You can do incredible things in your Fund, right?

Everything that was left after the fire is more precious than gold for this family

 – What help do you think can save you?

Gulnazi: I really need building materials to repair at least one room, for my children and grandma. We need beds, bedding. Table, chairs, refrigerator. I say nothing about the rest. We also really need foodstuffs and clothes for children. But I can’t ask you about this! It will be too much!

 – Almost the entire Georgia will read your story. You can address each of them.

Gulnazi: My dear ones, please, appreciate whatever you have. Life is insidious, it can take away what you have been creating for years in mare seconds. And please, take my children as if they were yours. They really need your help!

Nini (4-year-old): If ma’am will have any money left, let her buy me a doll. My doll stinks!

“My toys stink of fire, but I love them.”

***

Dear friends, we will help this kind and sweet Georgian family, right? We will not leave these wonderful people. Let’s all together lend a helping hand to them! They urgently need building materials, beds, a refrigerator, clothes and food. But most importantly – they need your support. Your attention and your kind heart will give them a chance to survive winter. Let’s help them, let’s show them our mercy, let’s give their children a chance to live normally. Let each of us imagine that these could be our children.

Friends, the Martashvili family has no one to ask for help. We are their last hope.

You can visit them and provide them all possible help at: Signagi, village Tsnori, 12 Megobroba Str.

Every time you can help someone, just do it and rejoice that God answers someone’s prayers through you! Let’s show our mercy and make the children believe that miracles happen! They believe in us. Do not let our little compatriots down. Show them what generous people live in Georgia

We are sure that all together we will manage to change their life.

Please don’t forget to repost our story. Let your friends know about the grief of this family! It’s extremely important!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN!
HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!
Asking for help and believing that God will help you through the complete strangers is a real miracle. The Martashvili family could not even imagine that hundreds of people would stand next to them.
There was a time when the Martashvili family lived in their own beautiful house, and siblings did not have to share one candy. They lived and helped others.
https://chernovetskyifund.ge/en/projects/finished/807-martashvili/
– Gulnazi, when we first came to you, you already gave up on life, despite our words that many people will take your trouble to heart. You didn’t believe us?
Gulnazi: I swear to you: I have run out of any hope that someone would support our family. How would I believe? My uncle burned down our house, the authorities turned away from us, and the damage, estimated at 100,000 lari, was placed at 4,800 lari. Only you supported me, only from you I felt attention and sympathy for my pain. We are trying to start a new life. With your help, we already have the necessary household items, and we feel more relaxed and comfortable. As if the void is being filled, and there is a desire to make tomorrow better.

“First I choose what we will watch, then you”

– Have you made new friends? Who do you remember the most?
Gulnazi: Most of all I remember the person who brought me a mattress and a plaid for children. To be honest, I did not expect anyone to come to our ashed ruins. I was happy to receive a guest who came to our house if it can still be called a house. Actually, I want to thank each of you for your help. If not for you, I would just give up. You gave our family strength and hope for tomorrow. God bless you!

“Mom, will you let me to switch it on sometimes?”

– Did the local authorities react to our post in any manner?
Gulnazi: There was no reaction on their part either before the publication of the post or after. We addressed them before as well, but you know their answer. It was like – rebuild your burnt-down house for 4,800 Lari, buy furniture, and start your life from the scratch with this money. This is just a mockery. Will I live up to the time when the authorities really help the poor without sparing their strengths and will do everything what is needed?
– What do this help and support mean to you personally?
Gulnazi: Uhh, my dear … It turns out that one of the most important moments of your life comes exactly when you are left alone. Then you begin to appreciate everyone in your life. No one in my life, except for my family and a couple of people, showed such support that the friends of your Fund showed us when they learned about our pain and loneliness. Do you remember a burnt, dilapidated and completely empty house? I could not believe that my life would go on. How would it be possible? These words haunted me all the time. Your Fund gave me an impetus to start getting out of this hell…
It turns out that the way out of any situation begins with hope. You were the first spark of hope for help, and that is exactly what happened. My hopes came true. It is with your help that we started to exist. When you brought us a refrigerator, a washing machine, a TV, and an electric oven, then for the first time in my life I felt that I should not give up and that life goes on.
From this day on, I fight the best I can. I struggle every day not to fall and keep moving forward. This help means the beginning of a new life for me. Thank you is the least I can say to you. I know God will bless everyone who showed compassion and supported my family!

“Mommy, make a pie for us”

– What about you, guys? Which gift did you like the most?
Irodi (11-year-old): Me and Nini were most happy about the oven. Mom bakes us bread, and our tummies no longer growl. Once she made an apple pie, and that was the happiest day for us. My sister and I love sweets and cakes very much, but we don’t have money to buy them. So, mom made us happy and made a cake.  Mom gave it to us little by little so that it would not end immediately, but we could not resist and, as soon as it got dark, we crept up and ate it whole.
– Nini, what gift did you like the most?
Nini (5-year-old): I like TV and I like watching Basti Bubu. Mom turns it on for me, and I dance all the time. Do you have a princess dress?
– I used to have it when I was little, but I don’t have it now. Would you like to have a bright, sparkly dress too, Nini?
Nini: Yes, I really want it! When I grow up, I will put it on going to school so that everyone will love me. I don’t want to go to school wearing torn clothes like my brother does.
– I’m sure when kind people read about your wishes, someone will surely fulfill this request of yours. In the meantime, dance a lot and get ready.
Nino: Okay, I’ll believe you this time. Because, when you told me that you would bring us a lot of delicious food, I did not believe that! But look how many sweets you brought us!
– Gulnaz, I know that in your situation the problems have not ended, even though you have home appliances now. What do you need at this stage to feel better?
Gulnazi: Eh, my dear, you’re right. Life goes on, and we must somehow keep up with the pace of life. I don’t have any means to go forward. The entire social allowance and income goes to cover bank debt. We even sold our car to at least plaster one room. Our house is in a terrible state. We are scared of the upcoming winter. Every day we worry and think how to find a way out. Even feeding our children costs us a lot of effort. They have no clothes, no shoes, not even notebooks and pens. I don’t even know where to start listing.
The most important thing for our family now is to have a safe place to live so that rain or snow does not fall on us in winter. We need building materials for the basic repair works: plaster, cement, drywall. If you help us with materials for the renovation of our house, our entire family will be immensely grateful to you.

Children have never seen so many sweets at once

***
Good people, winter is coming, and it will become cold soon. This family has neither a roof over their heads nor proper living conditions, not to mention heating. Children miss sweets. They don’t have clothes, so the eldest son can’t go to school. They again hope for your help. This good work has already begun. We hope that you will not leave them in the middle of the journey and let the spark of hope go out, but, on the contrary, let it flare up and help the parents raise two more Georgian children.
If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.
Our problems are noting if compared… Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.
Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now… Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!
Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge.
Kindness is the Sun of each of us, which we must share with everyone who needs it. Kindness and love are never lost. This is a blessing for those who give and those who receive. God bless you!
