Eleven-year-old Nika suffers from severe epileptic seizures, each one like a small brush with death. Where once his intense convulsions occurred once a month, now they strike every other day. His mother has learned to manage the episodes but lives in constant fear for his life. The family can’t afford medicine or diapers.
