They need your help and very, very urgently!

Project

Low-income families

Urgent

Friends, this kind young family with two adorable little children lives in conditions that can hardly be called a home. There’s no gas, no water, no bed for the children – nothing that would distinguish their so-called apartment from a shelter for animals. Not even the most basic appliances. They are crying out for help. And there is no one else they can turn to.

Look into the eyes of these innocent children – and let compassion fill your heart! Meet the Papuashvili family from the village of Gomi in the Khashuri Municipality – one of the many vulnerable families we support. Can you imagine a household with two small children having absolutely nothing? No beds, no refrigerator, no washing machine, no gas stove, no television. Even the house they live in is rented. The roof leaks so badly that when it rains, water pours inside just like it does outside. They pay 300 GEL a month for this shelter – almost half of their entire social allowance. At the Fund, we believe these girls will grow up and do great things for our beloved Georgia. They will raise strong sons for this country – and most importantly, they will never forget your kindness. We’re certain that help will come to this struggling home very soon. And right now, they need it more than ever. The children are waiting for your support. Think back – how many kind things have you done lately? And if there’s something you’ve been meaning to do – let it be today. Kindness adds years to life.

Ill adults

Imagine, friends – just for a moment – that the breath of someone you love more than anyone in the world… could suddenly be their last. That they could die right there in your arms. Terrifying, isn’t it? That’s exactly the kind of fear we felt when speaking with a kind young man from Georgia named Gio – who told us with quiet desperation, “I want to live.”

Gio suffers from severe scoliosis. His spine is twisted at a 90-degree angle. The curve has created a large hump that presses so hard on his lungs, doctors are amazed he can breathe at all. He urgently needs surgery. But his family simply cannot afford it. Just before we said goodbye, Gio turned to us and pleaded, “Please tell your Fund’s friends – I really want to live!”
Dear donors, during a meeting at our Fund, we decided to help cover the boy’s medical examinations, medications, and dental treatment. Perhaps, friends, you may also have ideas or suggestions on how we can support this family through the nightmare they’re living… Write to us—we’ll carefully consider every message. All hope now lies in the help we can offer together. Please, make a donation today through the Chernovetskyi Fund’s website. Help Gio. He’s in agony – and you have the power to help end his pain.

Ill children

Meet two true heroes of Georgia:Anna, a mother who gave up her beauty, youth, and happiness for the sake of her family, staying faithful to her husband – until he left her after realizing just how boundless her love was for their completely paralyzed son, Mate. And Mate himself – who cannot talk and has only just learned to plead for help with his eyes. God help us… Every single day of Mate’s life begins and ends in a rusted wheelchair without even a backrest. Can you imagine the pain he endures? No one should suffer like this.

Thirty-eight-year-old Anna walks with her son every day and evening in that same rusted wheelchair – with no back support. Her heart breaks knowing she can’t afford a proper wheelchair. Her husband left seven years ago and has never once asked about his son’s condition.

Anna, 38 (Mate’s mom): Our only income is 200 lari of social allowance and 425 lari of Mate’s disability pension. What should I spend it on – food, diapers, medicine, or rehabilitation?” I can’t even afford buying a decent wheelchair with back support for my son.

Mate can barely move by this rusty and falling apart wheelchair… How can the local authorities watch this child suffer and do nothing? Why did they take those jobs – just to collect a paycheck?
