REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

God works in mysterious ways, friends! And the trials we face in life should make us stronger and strengthen our trust in the Creator! And now, another miracle from the Lord is approaching! Starting today, the Almighty Lord will stretch out His hand to us in gratitude! "He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done" (Old Testament. Proverbs 19:17).

Because Luka himself won't be able to travel all over Georgia after his treatment to personally thank each of us for our kind hearts and souls!

Glory to You, Creator, that the doctors in Turkey were so attentive to the child. They promise to heal him completely!

Imagine, friends, that 6-year-old Luka isn't sitting comfortably in a wheelchair. He is not! That's the only position that eases his unbearable pain and prevents death because his joints are locked. If they're loosened, death will come instantly! In this manner, the unfortunate child sleeps, they carry him from bed to chair like this to get some fresh air, and then back to bed. They carry him to the toilet in such a way, which is especially agonizing and painful for him!

Can you imagine, friends, a six-year-old child praying for hours with his mother to God, whom he has never seen? When his mother says that the Lord is so great, hears his voice, feels his suffering, and will definitely help, the child calms down, at least for a little while

One wrong move, and the child feels as if his arm, leg, or even head could break! It's terrifying!

"I'm so scared of this!" - . Luka says, and each of his words kills us with helplessness. Like any child, Luka wants to complain to the unfamiliar ladies who came from the "kind fund" at God's calling about how much he's in pain. But the cursed stoma, as a consequence of his severe illness, gets stuck with sharp pain in his throat, and he has to "push through" quiet sounds with enormous effort, overcoming the pain!

Any touch brings unbearable suffering to the poor child.

When he was three years old, doctors in Georgia initially attributed his cough to allergies or a cold! Not a big deal! But when, two days later, the child began to suffocate, the doctors, without explaining anything to the horrified parents who were half alive from fear, placed Luka in the intensive care unit, connected him to a ventilator, and to their immense horror, insistently advised the poor parents to bid farewell to their beloved son!

While Luka was in the ICU, the doctors told the parents to say goodbye to him, and not to hope for his recovery.

"When mom or dad can't sit next to Luka, this 'honorary duty' is taken on by his brothers! Just so their little brother stays alive a little longer!

Now they pass on this duty to us, friends! We must help Luka survive, as we have done dozens of times before, by sending children to Turkey and many other European countries!

The Ministry of Health of Georgia allocated a whopping 26,900 lari for Luka. But the surgery costs 45,000 dollars.

Of course, we will demand a larger sum from the Ministry, urging them to act with conscience! But more importantly, we will ask the Turkish doctors to lower the price and consider the financial situation of a large family! They usually meet us halfway! But the surgery is very, very complex!

Good people... They are everywhere! And we all have the same God! And He equally generously thanks people afterward for opening their hearts to Him!

Be blessed, friends! And, of course, be happy! We promise that Luka - the happy boy - will definitely wave to you from the hospital!

Someone should always be with Luka. To clean his stoma, to comfort him, to talk to him. Otherwise, he gets upset and feels like he's out of place.

- Poor thing, what he has to go through. I can't even imagine...

Liana (Luka’s grandmother): Sometimes he feels so awful that he shuts everyone out, even his beloved brothers. He doesn't want them to see him like that, weak and helpless. But even in the toughest moments, he knows they're there - ready to support him and help him in any situation.

- Was Luka always like this?

Liana: No! He used to be the healthiest kid around! Until he was three, he never even caught a cold. He ran, he jumped, he talked non-stop, knew lots of poems. But then he started coughing. They said it was allergies, then blamed it on a cold, then the flu... but when the medicine didn't help anymore and he started struggling to breathe, we called an ambulance and he was taken to the hospital. Two days later, I don't know what happened there, they took him to Tbilisi by a mobile resuscitation vehicle. When they examined him, they immediately moved him to the ICU and hooked him up to a machine, and they told us we could say goodbye to our boy... It takes two people to transfer him to a wheelchair, and then back.

- What do you mean, “say goodbye”?

Liana: Yes, you heard it right! Say goodbye forever. They said he will die. If not today, then tomorrow. And they kept saying that for two months. They didn't even let us in to see how he was. Then they told us that the child needed a tracheostomy, and when they let us in to see him, I saw a terrible sight... there was a tube sticking out of his throat, and his legs were immobile. I asked them why his legs were spread apart and not closing and you know what the doctors replied? They said mockingly: "Maybe that's comfortable for him."

- Why Luka’s joints got locked? He was admitted to the hospital with lung problems, aren't they unrelated?

Liana: That's right! But the doctors were sure that the boy would die, so they didn't even bother to give him basic massages. When he was discharged from the hospital, and they told me that nothing would help my grandson, that it happens, and we need to accept it, I took him to Turkey. Honestly, the doctors there said things that made me ashamed of our doctors. They said it was definitely due to poor care of the patient. If they had massaged his legs for just 5 minutes a day, this horror wouldn't have happened.  And now we can't do without surgery. We've been struggling for a year, but we can't raise the necessary amount for the operation.

Luka loves his brothers very much and dreams of playing with them like a normal boy.

- Oh, God! So, all of this could have been avoided? Did you not sue the clinic for such negligent treatment?

Liana: No, honey. What's the point of fighting the system? They told me it's a lost cause, that I wouldn't be able to prove anything, and that I'd just be dragged through the courts. And I don't have the time or resources for that. Right now, all my strength, the strength of our entire family is focused on saving Luka.

Luka (6 years old): When I look at myself, I feel so bad. I can't walk, I can't play, I can't be like other children, like my brothers. I often sit alone, look out the window, dreaming of what it would be like if I could run and play with Sosiko and Saba. They're always by my side, they take me out into the yard, play with me, but it only makes it hurt even more.

The brothers play with Luka, fulfill all his requests, but it doesn't make it any easier for him.

Liana: Sometimes I feel like I can't bear to see my grandson suffering anymore, sometimes I dream of dying. Perhaps it would be better than experiencing constant pain and suffering. But I promised God that I would get him back on his feet!

Sosiko (9 years old): Is it true that Luka will be able to learn to walk again like us if there's enough money? Grandma says he can if we have the money. Aren't you here to help him?

Saba (4 years old): And can you give money for a bicycle too? I really want one...

Sosiko: Are you out of your mind? What a bicycle? If you had legs like his, would you still think about a bicycle?

When mom or dad can't sit next to Luka, this duty is taken on by his brothers!

Luka: Don't argue! I already feel bad enough!

Liana: Sometimes Luka's nerves can't take it, and he gets very angry, he might even shout. For instance, he wants to go out to the yard, but we tell him it's too cold. And he can't put on pants. We have to wrap him in a blanket. And he starts crying and keeps saying, "I want to go out, I want to go out."

My son Gogita is 32 years old, my daughter-in-law Dariko is 30 years old.  They're always with Luka, without them he can't even move. Stand up, sit down, transfer to the wheelchair, dress, undress... And we always have to be with him. Suddenly the stoma gets blocked, or he wants water... And we also have Sosiko, Saba, and Giorgi. Giorgi will turn one year old in May. So that's how we live.

Let's reach for a star of happiness for Luka.

- What do you live on? And why did you turn to the Fund?

Liana: Our income consists of allowance, pension, and my husband's salary. He works as a security guard. With our incomes, we'll never be able to gather enough money for Luka's surgery. The operation to open the hip joints costs $45,000. The state provides us with funding of 26,900 lari, and the Mother's Fund has collected 1,500 lari. And the rest, we're collecting bit by bit from everywhere. We turned to you so that you could also support our suffering child. I hope your readers will empathize with Luka and want to relieve him of this suffering.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Every day is a new battle for Luka and his family. His joints are ablaze with pain, becoming an unwelcome companion in his life. Sometimes, Luka feels he can't endure any more, yet he hides his suffering, not wanting to burden those around him. But inside, turmoil rages.

Luka dreams of returning to a normal life, free from agony, where he can play, run, and laugh with his brothers.  Yet, sometimes, that dream feels as distant as a star in the sky. But together, we can reach for that star of hope and give it to little Luka!

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Kareli Municipality, village Koda-Vardisubani.
