Saba is cut off from the world. Yes, the child is cut off from the world... Oh, how awful those words sound. You live in this world, but you are rejected by it. Just imagining it makes one's blood run cold.
Saba (14-year-old): I have terrible pain. My legs are so twisted that it’s hard for me to even put on shoes. When I move from my wheelchair to the walkers, I can only take a few steps with difficulty. I always sit in my room and watch out the window as children play and have fun. I want to run with them too. Then I turn to the Lord with all my heart: ‘If I was destined to suffer like this, why did You bring me into this world?’”
The fourteen-year-old boy doesn’t give up. He has been fighting since birth. Saba tries to gather his last strength to get out of this cursed wheelchair. He wants to walk on his own and run a lot with his peers in the fields of his beautiful village. But all this is just a colorful dream for Saba. If it weren’t for cerebral palsy, the boy’s life would be completely different now.
Saba: I want to become a programmer. I have my own YouTube channel, and I post videos there. I’m trying to gain knowledge in this field. It would be great if I could attend programming courses, but my father doesn’t even have a car to drive me. Taxis are expensive, and I can't get on the bus with this wheelchair. But I really want to take programming courses. I’m very determined and I know I can be a good programmer, but this cursed wheelchair... this cursed wheelchair...
Saba: Turkish doctors said that after surgery I will be able to walk. I believe the doctors, but there are no miracles without God. Sometimes I resentfully ask the kind God why I’m not like other children and why He made me this way, but then I realize that this is ungrateful to the Almighty. Then I apologize and ask for the Lord’s forgiveness.
Saba: I believe in miracles. I believe that I will be able to walk with God’s help, but without the help of kind people, I cannot become the Saba I want to be.
