In a remote mountain village in Adjara, a blue-eyed boy is hopeless, yet he awaits a call from the Chernovetskyi Fund: “Nika, the money for your operation has been raised thanks to kind people. Get ready…” God-pleasing people, we must get Nika to Turkey before the first snow falls in the village of Intskirveti, because the road will be closed until almost spring, and Nika will lose her last chance to get back on her feet.

“I’m dying.  And before the end comes, I won’t even get the chance to hold my three little children one last time.” These were the words of 31-year-old Ketevan, speaking to a correspondent of the Chernovetskyi Fund from abroad.  Moments later, the excruciating pain of her late-stage cancer made her lose consciousness, and the phone line went dead.
