A crash, blood, screams – and in an instant, his life became a tragedy that changed his family’s fate forever.

Yesterday he was laughing with friends, dreaming about the future, and today he lies motionless, a tube in his throat. Luka, only 21, is stuck between life and silence. He needs our help – he must come back to this world!

May 29, 2025, became the day everything fell apart for the Kuparadze family. A car accident – a faulty tire, loss of control, a violent crash. 

Luka suffered severe brain trauma and lung injuries. Doctors did everything they could: they implanted a brain stimulator, performed complex surgeries, and removed part of his skull. 

He survived, but his life seems to have stopped. He breathes through a tracheostomy, opens his eyes – but does not respond.

Mamuka, Luka’s father, lives only with the thought of keeping his son alive. He seems to breathe for him, holding on because he has no right to break. He poured all his love into Luka, and today that love has become his only strength. 

Nothing matters more to him than seeing his son rise again, take his first step, return to life. Everything else has lost its meaning.

“Lord, take my strength, my years, anything – just keep my son alive. Let him rise, let him talk again, let him be with us. I beg You on my knees – save Luka…” – prays Luka’s father, Mamuka.

Luka’s mother barely speaks – the words get stuck in her throat from pain. She sits by his bed day and night, holding his hand, as if trying to bring him back to this world through her touch. 

“Doctors told me now I have to raise my son all over again, as if he were a baby… God, why did this happen?! I wish it had been me instead, just so he could be full of life again, like before this terrible accident…”

Her life stopped with his – now all her existence is focused on one thing: waiting for the moment her son comes back to life and looks at her with his eyes.

“My grandson… my brave boy, you know how hard he worked, what a good person he is. I beg you, please… we can’t manage on our own… everything you see, our neighbors helped with…”

“Please, you too, kind people, help give this angel of a boy back his life… I beg you!” — says Luka’s grandmother, 88 years old and struggling to walk, but when she saw the fund’s correspondent, she gathered her strength and came to say these words.

The poor elderly woman has had her last years shadowed by sorrow. Her time in this world is drawing near. And her heart will carry the longing for her grandson into the cold grave.

Today, only rehabilitation abroad can save Luka. There is a clinic in Turkey ready to accept him. Every minute of delay steals Luka’s chance to return to life.

The family lives in their home in Khoni. Their only income is the grandmother’s pension and rare temporary jobs from his father. His older brother enlisted in the military contract to help in any way he could. But it’s not enough. 

We cannot let a 21-year-old remain just a “living body.” Luka deserves a future: he must talk again, walk, laugh, and hug his loved ones. His return to this world depends on us.
