In one small room, eight people huddle together. Some are physically ill, others are mentally afflicted! And who among them is worse off, who suffers more and endures greater pain? Let's delve into this, my friends! No one can be worse off than them, in their region of Georgia! Thank to Almighty God that someone has informed us about them to our foundation! Now it's only us who are responsible for what happens to them next… Every time we encounter one or another human tragedy, we at the foundation think that it couldn't possibly get any worse! It simply can't be more painful! And then we realize that we are only just beginning our journey towards God! After all, according to the Bible, suffering people are the most beloved to Him! We just can't understand why local officials lose their souls and hearts completely after elections! Is it the power that does this to them, or has some unholy force taken hold of their councils and mayoralties?! What is the problem?

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Likuna and Daniel have sunshine bunnies on their hearts. And all their thoughts right now are only about toys!

"We lived poorly for a very long time, poverty ingrained itself in our minds," says 25-year-old Mari. "Coming home out of habit I want to sigh heavily.  I imagine the old wooden frames rattling in the wind, the sick and nervous dad with nothing to do, puddles and flooding around the washing machine..."

Then I shake myself and tell myself:  "Look, Mari, look! Those ugly wooden frames and the rusty washing machine are gone. And Dad doesn't swear from nerves anymore, he just lies down and watches TV. All the appliances are brand new, sparkling. We're getting used to the new life that the friends of the Fund have created for us. Just think about it! And we can be happy!'

Mari: 'Mom and I notice that we've started to smile and laugh more. It's unusual and great! We're getting used to happiness.'

Khatuna (mother): A plasma TV? We never had any TV at all! I didn't know how to distract my sick husband. Because he's bedridden, he's terribly irritable. I feel like kissing you all! This TV is the best medicine for Valerian.

Mari: Dad and I started watching the series 'Nobody Knows.' We got so into it that we decided not to sleep. We had a movie marathon for three nights. Wow, such a cool series! Dad and I haven't relaxed together like this in a long time, haven't talked about anything other than illness.  Thank you for that! I'm happy for him.

Khatuna: "The TV is the best medicine for my husband's nerves."

Khatuna: During the day, this TV is for the little ones - Daniel and Lika watch it. And I watch it too, in between my numerous chores.

- How are Lika and Beka doing?

Khatuna: First of all, thank you for the decent supply of diapers for the youngest ones. Both my grandson Daniel and Lika have them. Beka was provided with diapers by the district administration.

Lika, my epileptic granddaughter, is still struggling with her condition, and she had a seizure yesterday. But your gifts comfort and delight her. I showed her how much clothing she has now - blouses, trousers, dresses.  She's shining! It can be said that you've provided Lika and Daniel with a lot in advance - already for the time when they go to kindergarten.

Mari: "Yeah, there's enough children's clothing for a couple of years ahead!  We'll be trying on something new every day."

Mari: From all the bags brought by the Chernovetskyi Fund's car, Daniel immediately grabbed the one with toys.  He pulled out a bright little car for himself right away.  And Likuna dove into the bag with sweets.

Daniel: "Mom! They're giving out toys here! Where are you looking? Help me grab them quickly!"

Daniel: "You're exactly what I needed, little car with a shovel! See how big a pile of pebbles I have?"

Khatuna: Happiness is when Georgians help each other! Our people didn't let us down. I want to convey my deep respect and gratitude to everyone. I know that people from every region of Georgia helped us in some way. Although my family has faced many hardships, when you feel a connection with your people, receive support, you experience such relief, such joy!

For 26 years, I dreamed of changing the windows. For 26 years, people! I thought I would grow old with these windows and forever shiver from the cold.  What else could I think when everyone in the family is sick, and there's no one to work? What else could I think when the district administration brushed us off so many times? I don't know why they promised us windows, a TV, a refrigerator, and a washing machine? Why did they give us hope? Every time we went to them, they told us the same thing: 'Not funded.'

Khatuna: “For 26 years, I dreamed of changing the windows. I thought the district administration would help. Now I know that ordinary people - friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund- make dreams come true.

Mari: "Poverty is a nasty thing. I still think about those old wooden frames. But in reality, we already have the new, modern ones!

Finally, the Chernovetskyi Fund bought all of this for us. We've received support from ordinary people, from friends of the Fund. We haven't known each other for long, but you've already solved so many of our problems. You're doing great, serious work. Honestly, we should have come to you right away instead of going to officials.

'I've connected the washing machine to the water, let's start a trial wash now.'"

Khatuna: “Happiness is when Georgians help each other! My people are generous, always ready to share and support, always understanding!"

- Well, now you know exactly where to go.

Khatuna: Yes, my dear ones!  This month has been very happy for my family; you've brought us joy many times. I thank God for finding so many kindred souls who sympathize. I rejoice and thank that you exist.

"Likuna immediately dove into the bag of sweets."

Mari: I didn't have a chance to tell you about the bed. It's so wide, so comfortable! I sleep on it like a baby. Oh, I haven't slept like this in a long time! And my little son is next to me. He doesn't wake me up anymore; he sleeps until morning.

Mari: "The bed is amazing! I sleep on it like a baby. And my little son is with me."

- Friends of the Fund know the needs of all families well. And of course, we, the staff, are familiar with each specific case. Add if I miss anything: you need regular diapers - for children and adults, medications, wet wipes, groceries, baby food.

Khatuna: If I may, I would add "Karma" - a gas heater for the home. Buying firewood is getting more and more expensive. And thank you for everything, a thousand times over!
