Here is my love! Her name is Tamta! She loves me no less than I love her! I will never, never abandon her! But we really need the help of kind hearts! "Of course, I chose my sick and very frail daughter! Because I'm her mother! She's my one and only," Rosa, the mother of the sick girl, says. We've been inseparable for 33 years, and we can't imagine life without each other!" Rosa (mother): Until she was 7, I fought tooth and nail for Tamta's health. I sold all my valuables and even dishes. But my daughter has had cerebral palsy since birth. She can't walk, talk, or use her hands. But a miracle happened despite her condition! She's smart and understands everything! She has a loving heart! Poor thing, it's heartbreaking to know that she'll spend her entire life in a wheelchair. "When my husband refused to accept her, I made the only right decision and I have never regretted it! What mom can just take and forget her child? And it was the best decision of my life!

"Of course, I chose my sick and very frail daughter! Because I'm her mother! She's my one and only," Rosa, the mother of the sick girl, says. We've been inseparable for 33 years, and we can't imagine life without each other!"

"They suggested that I send her to an orphanage and live a normal life, but do mothers in Georgia give up their children?"

Rosa (mother): Until she was 7, I fought tooth and nail for Tamta's health.

"For 33 years, Tamta and I have been attached to each other, and we can't imagine living any other way."

Rosa: "When my husband refused to accept her, I made the only right decision and I have never regretted it! What mom can just take and forget her child? And it was the best decision of my life!

"All our days are alike. Nothing changes for over 30 years. Every day I do the same thing, and I don't even realize how the months and years pass."

- Tell us about Tamta. Describe your typical day.

Rosa: For 33 years, all my days have been the same: I wake up, wash my daughter, feed her, and dress her. Then during the day, I wash and feed her again. Then we watch TV - we already know all the shows by heart. Then in the evening, I feed her, change her clothes, and put her to bed... And so it goes every day. What year, what month is now – I don't even know. Recently they invited me to visit, but I didn't go. Firstly, I can't leave Tamta, and secondly, I have nothing to put on. The only place where I can go is the nearest pharmacy and grocery store. But that's only when we have money. And when it runs out, we rely only on kind people. Today we only have one loaf of bread. I give Tamta the soft part, and I eat the crusts. And it will be like this until pay day. We live who knows where, and we survive who knows how... It's very hard when money runs out! And then I turn to God, and He sends us kind people!

Tamta can't move or speak, but she understands everything and can talk to me with her eyes.

- And what is this place where you are staying?

Rosa: This is a boarding house for people with disabilities. Living in my apartment is impossible! The builders, who took our last money for repairs, turned out to be very bad people! They destroyed everything and ran away! Now Tamta often cries, poor thing, remembering her room and really wants to go back there!

I don't want to judge anyone! God knows everything! But we definitely need to repair our small apartment.  We've been homeless for a year now, living in a shelter for children with disabilities. I'm so ashamed in front of my daughter! But I'm a single and not-so-young woman! God forbid something happens to me, at least someone will take care of my child!

And for now, I ask the Fund and its friends by the grace of God: Help us return to our apartment! It's so awful to feel homeless! Look at us... Do we look like homeless people? Without the Fund's friends, we will never return to our nest!

Tamta is the happiest girl! Because God gave her the most faithful and loving mother! He loves us all, friends!

- We will try to help you with that. But besides the repairs, is there anything else you need?

Rosa: I dream of Tamta having a wheelchair in which she can support her head and not slide off. Then I can take her outside, we can take a walk, breathe fresh air. Otherwise, we're cooped up indoors all day. We also need beds, a washing machine, and a refrigerator. And the pension will cover the bread.

- Rosa, you've dedicated your entire youth to Tamta. You're essentially living her life.  Have you ever thought about how your life could have turned out if you had listened to the "well-wishers" and given up your child?

Rosa: No! I wouldn't even entertain such a thought! Have you ever seen a mother who could abandon her child?

- Unfortunately, over the years of working in the Fund, we've encountered such mothers, but very rarely.

Rosa: God forbid! The idea of getting rid of a child never even crossed my mind. But sometimes I think: if Tamta were healthy, she probably would have started her own family by now and left me... How would I live without her? Or would I not have such an attachment to her? Maybe I wouldn't be so bound to her? But now even the thought that she could walk and leave me for a long time shocks me. It's probably a subconscious defense mechanism. I just can't imagine another life; my daughter and I are already one. I'm just afraid of the day when I'm no longer here. Who will take care of her as I do?

Tamta gets upset when her mother talks about her own death... She's scared. She can't live without her mom.

(At this moment, Tamta became worried, showed her hand to her mother, and put it to her mouth.)

Rosa: It means I should stop talking nonsense. She doesn't like it when I talk about death.

- Does she understand everything?

Rosa: Yes! Her brain works well. That's why they gave me hope that she might be able to walk. She can't speak words fully, but I understand her. She looks into my eyes, makes some sounds, and I hear sentences. Tamta: Aka-aka...

Rosa: That means she likes you, that you're a good person, and she would be happy if you come again. She says it differently, but I know exactly when and what she wants to say.

- You are the epitome of motherhood! May God bless you with health!  And we, with the help of the Fund's friends, will do everything possible to make your life easier and brighten your everyday life.

"You can endure everything in the world when you have a mother like Rosa."

In this world, where life is often cruel, there are stories that shine like stars in the night sky. One such story is the tale of Rosa and Tamta. It's a story of the incredible strength of mother’s love, which overcomes difficulties and trials, turning life into something harmonious, despite all the horrors of existence. Bonded by misfortune, they have turned their lives into endless unity.

In order for this story to have a happy ending, we call upon you to rewrite its sad ending.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Tskaltubo Municipality, village Banoja, shelter for individuals with special needs.
