His psychopathic father forced his severely ill son to beg on the streets. With the money Giorgi collected, the father would get drunk and then beat his son with an iron rod.

This is our new problem, friends! A very serious case! 21-year-old Giorgi was born with Down syndrome. He cannot walk or talk and has the mental capacity of a three-year-old child. Giorgi lives in a damp basement infested with rats. His bed is so uncomfortable that even a stray dog wouldn’t sleep on it. Rusty wires sticking out from the bed cause Giorgi pain, and when he sleeps, rainwater drips from the ceiling.

A 21-year-old Giorgi with the mind of a three-year-old child. Must this severely ill boy beg again? 

Even a stray dog wouldn’t lie on his bed, yet Giorgi has no other. In European countries, the state takes special care of such children! Unfortunately, in Ozurgeti, no one but us can take care of Giorgi!

Damp basement where Giorgi lives is full of rats. Poor sick boy lives in inhumane conditions! 

He needs five to six diapers every day, but his poor mother can’t afford them. Sometimes she borrows money to buy them. Most of the time, she makes "diapers" from old clothes or clothes taken from the trash. Even if you imagine it, this would make your blood run cold. But that’s not the worst part. 

The poor mother, completely alone, lifts her 21-year-old son in her arms to put him to bed.

Giorgi is alive, but what kind of life is this? Probably there is not such a suffering even in hell!

How much tragedy is in the tearful eyes of this boy!

Giorgi’s biological father is a sadist, a maniac, and a vile human—or rather, not a human—whose only desire was to buy alcohol. He used his helpless, disabled son for this.  He beat Giorgi and forced him to beg on the streets in any weather - no matter was it wind, rain, frost, or snow. 

Good-hearted passersby thought they were helping a sick boy. In reality, Giorgi’s maniacal father eagerly awaited the end of the day to buy alcohol with the money people gave. Then, this drunken brute would cruelly beat his wife and son. He beat the disabled boy with an iron bar and banged his head against the wall. This further aggravated the boy's condition.

This rusty old wheelchair with damaged wheels is Giorgi’s only friend.

Kind people, Giorgi is doomed to starve to death! Living in a damp basement with rats worsens his already critical health condition. If you have an abandoned house somewhere in a village, even if it’s just four walls, please don’t hesitate to offer it to Giorgi. He is as much a child of God as we are. Giorgi, traumatized by his maniacal father, now needs the entire nation of Georgia to become his new family.
