It’s almost impossible to imagine, and he lives every minute as if it could be his last. His condition affects only about one person in a million – but does that make it any easier for compassionate people like us? A disease that is found in only one person out of a million has been diagnosed in our fellow countryman, 26-year-old Beka. If a normal resting heart rate is 60–100 beats per minute, Beka’s reaches 214. For 13 years he has not left his dark room.
