This year “Race for the Cure” celebrates its 10 years. The Race will take place on Sunday, 20th of September, on the Turtle Lake. 5 km jogging tour and 2 km walking tour will take place.
The aim of the race is to increase awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds in order more women would be examined and cured.
The registration is free of charge, but the participants can donate some money which will be used for spreading information about breast cancer and screening needs.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and the first among the reasons of death in women in Georgia.
“Georgia Race for the cure” is held annually and is organized by the Union “Hera”,Fund of Susan Komen, USAID, JSI and National Screening Center.
