On June 3, 2023, an international conference on pediatric surgery was held at the conference hall of the Holiday Inn Tbilisi. The conference was organized by the Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) and the Association of Pediatric Surgeons of Georgia. The conference was dedicated to the memory of the distinguished pediatric surgeon, honorary doctor of TSMU, Professor Itzhak Vinograd, and aimed at further strengthening the cooperation between Georgia and Israel.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, welcoming speeches were delivered by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, Her Excellency Hadas Meisadi, the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, and Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, the Rector of TSMU.
Employees of our Fund were invited to the conference on behalf of the Israel Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (IPBTF).
The IPBTF foundation is engaged in the treatment of children suffering from various types of tumors and strives to enable every child to overcome their illness and start a new life full of health and joy.
More than 2,500 children are under the constant care of the Dana Clinic in Israel.

During the conference, renowned medical experts from Israel, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom presented modern scientific and clinical advancements that will greatly assist Georgian pediatric surgeons in their everyday clinical practice.
We believe that by joining forces with internationally recognized clinics, we will be able to save many lives and provide a bright future for Georgian children in need of treatment.
