These unfortunate Georgian children are searching for remnants of past happiness amidst ashes and mud! In just 10 minutes, they became homeless!

Their home burned down, only the walls remained. And this structure - which resembles a chicken coop - was built by the head of the family, Mikhail, with his own hands from "sticks and debris." It's better this way, they don't feel homeless. "On November 22nd, I left for school from my beloved home, and while I was studying there, I turned into a homeless person. When I returned, everyone was crying, there was a lot of smoke, the house was burning, and I thought I became an orphan," tells us 10-year-old Nodiko as he digs in the ashes, searching for something that survived from the burned-down house.

Out of joy, my children sleep cuddling their bikes!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER  TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

Tamara: "At first, I was confused and didn't believe it, but then all the joy burst out: my phone!"

"We had everything one should have in a peasant's house: furniture and simple but functional appliances” - Irma says. We had livestock in our household - a cow, pigs.  And then everything turned into coal in a second - our house, our belongings... God was merciful that we didn't perish in the fire ourselves."

"Eight people were left without a roof, without a piece of bread, without clothes and shoes! We were grateful even for a glass of water in such a difficult moment," Irma recalls. "But along with a full set of household appliances, you also brought bicycles for my children, which in our situation is a luxury. Kids hey didn't even expect to get them from me. And here's such joy! They almost sleep with these bicycles!"

Tamara: "Nodiko and Barbare are crazy about bicycles. They forget about everything - eating, studying; they just want to ride!"

Irma: I have seven people depending on me, three of whom have intellectual disabilities: my brother-in-law, father-in-law, and my husband's niece. How can I take care of them without any appliances? Before the fire, I used to wash clothes in my "Oka-7". It is a simple washing machine, looking like a tub, but it got the job done. Then I became the washing machine myself, doing everything by hand for a year until you set me free. Thank you so much! Now I can wash more clothes at once than I could with my "Oka".

Irma: "For a whole year, I was the washing machine myself. The kids are happy that you set me free."

Last summer, I struggled without a refrigerator. If we didn't eat everything on time, by evening, all the food would go to waste. And the kids were outside all day, saving their food for later. And later there was nothing to feed them... Now I'm not nervous anymore, this problem has been solved. The gas stove hasn't been connected yet, we need to lay new gas lines. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out with time. Right now, I rely on the will of the Lord and try not to fuss. Did you not come and help us by His will? That's exactly how I see the response from the Fund's readers. And you know, even little miracles happened!

"Now there's no need to regret the broken refrigerator; the family got a brand new one from you!"

 – Tell us about it, Irma!

Irma: Before the start of the school year, in September, we didn't even have a penny. The kids were feeling down - no new clothes, no stationery. My husband and I were unemployed, feeling low. And unexpectedly, one family - a couple with two kids, your readers, came to visit us at home. They brought school bags for everyone - Tamara, Nodiko, and Barbare - right on cue. A large supply of notebooks, pens, markers, food containers, water bottles... Toys, groceries, sweets... They asked what else they could bring. The kids immediately brightened up, sharing the stationery and sweets, happy and joyful. It was the most necessary and timely gift! I am sincerely grateful to this wonderful family!

And our Fund thanks these noble people for giving exactly what we missed! We don't even doubt that it was providence of God! Thank you!

The children reacted very emotionally to the gifts, flying with joy.

Tamara (13-year-old): When they brought me the mobile phone, I was speechless, couldn't even say a word! Then all my joy burst out, I was shouting throughout the house: "Mom, there is a phone for me!" And your employee - a blue-eyed uncle with a kind smile - was laughing a lot, rejoicing too.

Before, I couldn't do any school assignments that were given online, so I skipped everything. Now I'm keeping up. And it's really boring without Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger. Now I can post myself, read news, and call and chat with all the kids.

"Parents couldn't afford to buy a phone, we only buy groceries. It's great that you gave it to me, it's very necessary thing!"

- Nodiko and Barbare, mom says you sleep cuddling your bikes.  How do you take care of your personal transport?

Nodiko (10 years old):  I wash it every day after riding, even if I'm tired. It's always clean, like the day you brought it.  The bike is the best thing in the world! I can ride all day and my legs don't hurt.

Nodiko: "I make sure my bike is spotless. I wash it the same day after riding."

Barbare (8-year-old): I can ride all day too.

Nodiko: But I ride faster than you and make better turns.  You stop, adjust it, and then go on.

Barbare: I also wash my bike.

Tamara: These two are crazy about their bicycles. They don't want to eat, they don't want to study... As soon as they wake up, all they want to do is go for a ride as soon as possible!

Irma: Let them enjoy; we all need joy after the sorrow we've been through. I want to wish health, longevity, and happiness to everyone who has thought of us.  The Lord will surely bring you joy and reward, you'll see. I want to wish prosperity and success to all families in Georgia! May we all live in a peaceful and prosperous country. May there be no poverty, unemployment, or hopelessness. How wonderful it is that among our people there are so many responsible individuals who think of others. We embrace all your readers!

After sorrow, you need joy, and sweets - are an excellent therapy!

"We embrace your readers and give them our hearts!"

– Irma, what is the current condition of your house, which survived the fire? What is needed to restore it, and what has the local government done so far?

Irma: After the fire, the district administration provided 4000 lari for a new roof within a month. However, we were only able to cover a small part of the house with it; there wasn't enough funding for the rest.  And they're not providing any more assistance. Right now, we're worried about the rain damaging what's been done.  We still need to cover two more rooms. We need building materials for the roof and walls; we need windows, doors, wiring… We don't know when we'll be able to return to our home.  We're still living in a temporary structure made of boards, cardboard, and blankets.

The Kharebov family, who lost all their belongings in a fire, you provided emergency assistance to - helped to re-establish their household.  Thank you for your heartfelt response, friends!  The serious problem that remains is the fire-damaged house, which has been restored only a quarter of the way and needs building materials. Any contribution is important so that the family does not live in a shaky temporary structure, and returns under their own roof.
