In the deep, dark corner of a dilapidated house, within an empty room, lies a father of a large family. His eyes are full of sadness and fear for each member of his family. His tears are the most bitter in the world! During every choking episode, he bids a farewell to his wife and children! So terrible! His story is not just a personal story. It is a tragedy and a cry of all the sick and suffering in Georgia! The ways of the Lord are mysterious, my friends! We all understand this wisdom! We can't count on anyone in Georgia except ourselves! Let's lend a hand to the family because we are their last hope!

Make it so my father never dies again

“Because he loves me the most”

In the deep, dark corner of a dilapidated house, within an empty room, lies a father of a large family. His eyes are full of sadness and fear for each member of his family.

His tears are the most bitter in the world!

During every choking episode, he bids a farewell to his wife and children! So terrible! His story is not just a personal story. It is a tragedy and a cry of all the sick and suffering in Georgia!

"Breathe, Vazha, breathe... the kids need their father."

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

- When did his illness begin?

Nona: Six years ago, the life of our family changed forever. Vazha, our breadwinner and the head of the family, spared no effort, working tirelessly to earn a living. He took on various jobs, even went to Turkey, worked in the "garbage business," sorting through waste. It was there that his health took a hit. He endured pneumonia in his legs several times. I kept telling him all the time, "Go to the doctor," but he insisted that he couldn't spend money on himself - it's all for the kids, for the family. And so, until he turned completely pale and struggled for breath, he didn't go to the doctor. And then, it was too late.

Once we had a happy family... and now it's just problems. Because we don't have an oxygen machine, Vazha is taken to the hospital by ambulance every time.  No one ever knows if he will make it there alive. God, help! You can't imagine how heartbreaking it is to see a grown man cry like a child.

After six years of Vazha's illness, our situation has become unbearable!

The ways of the Lord are mysterious, my friends!  We all understand this wisdom! We can't count on anyone in Georgia except ourselves! Let's lend a hand to the family because we are their last hope!

- How often does your husband have difficulty breathing?

Nona: Every day!  He needs an oxygen machine, but we don't have the money, so we have to call for emergency help and transport Vazha to the hospital.  There, they "revive" him, and for a few days, he can breathe normally. And then it all repeats again - you can't imagine how heartbreaking it is to see a grown man cry like a child.

- Can you describe what happens to Vazha during these episodes?

Nona: He turns black, struggles to breathe, can't manage to inhale or exhale.  During these times, he needs oxygen. If we had it, he wouldn't have to rush away so often. We are very poor; one allowance is never enough.  And we have no other source of income. While Vazha was healthy and working, we lacked nothing. But now, he can't even go to the bathroom. He takes a couple of steps and starts having breathing difficulties.  I can't work either - I always have to be by his side. Kato also is still too young, who can we leave her with?  And we have no close relatives.

"Living conditions are terrible, and this only worsens his situation."

- What your allowance is enough for? Vazha probably needs a lot of medication.

Nona: He does. Sometimes we manage to get medications through a social program, but they are not always available. It is not easy to buy both food and medication when your only income is allowance. Thankfully, we don't have to pay rent.   This is Vazha's brother's house, and he let us live here. But the condition of this house is so dire - you can see stars through the ceiling at night,  and it leaks when it rains.

- These conditions probably worsen Vazha's situation...

Nona: Both these conditions and the fact that the children go hungry, coupled with our inability to visit the doctor and get a new prescription... all of it affects his well-being.

- What medications do you give him if you don't have a prescription from the doctor?

Nona: I give him the medications that doctors prescribed to him four years ago. I know it's not right, but we can't afford to see a doctor or seek advice; we don't even have money for the journey.

- What challenges does your family face every day?

Nona: We have three children. The eldest Luka is 16 years old, Anna will soon be 15, and the youngest Kato is 4 years old. The children don't get enough to eat; it's very tough for them. Take Luke, for instance, he's into wrestling, and he's really good at it — they don't even charge us because of his excellent performance. But besides the training, we need to buy the uniform, pay for tournament participation – and that's something we can't afford. So, my son ends up being cut off from everything. Anna is very shy and sensitive. She worries about her father, often in tears. And little Kato is our joy. She's like a gift from fate. "Make sure my father never dies again." Vazha calls her the "balm of his heart" — when she hugs him, Vazha feels the will to live.

- How did you find our Fund, and what are your expectations?

Nona: My husband's sister found your Fund. She wrote to you. I never even thought that you would pay attention to us. But here you are, and honestly, I feel some kind of delight. Maybe there are indeed people who care about the fate of my family?

- What do you need most urgently?

Nona: Firstly, an oxygen machine for Vazha and his examination. Also, if you don't find it too forward, I would ask for a washing machine. We also desperately need food, and at least one phone. We have only one for the whole family, and it barely works. I'm afraid it will break, and I won't be able to call for emergency help.

Hunger and fear have become the inevitable companions in the existence of Vazha Gaprindashvili's family. His wife and their three children live in the shadow of despair, knowing that each day could be the last for their beloved family member. The life of this family turns into a struggle for survival, where every day is a trial. Vazha is slowly and painfully losing the strength to live, and even oxygen becomes a luxury for him. The family desperately tries to cope, but day by day, it becomes increasingly challenging to sustain the fragile flame of life.

May this story serve as a call from God. We can alter the course of events by extending a helping hand to those teetering on the brink of life and death due to poverty. The story of this family serves as a reminder that human life is priceless and should not be determined by one's wallet.

Let's join our efforts to create a world where everyone can breathe freely, where poverty is not a barrier to life, and where every voice is heard and supported.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Adigeni municipality, village Bolajuri.

Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone's prayers through you!

We are sure that all together we will manage to save them from imminent death.
