As if all the misfortunes of the world have settled among the unfortunate children and the entire Chilashvili family! Lord, help! “The Devil has torn out my grandchildren’s tongues” - muses out loud Nino, the kind-hearted grandmother. She is so sure of it that even to me, the correspondent, it seemed like he was hiding somewhere in a dark, dilapidated house! Cries and screams always emanate from this house, as if cursed by evil forces. There is no joy or celebration here! Everyone is sick, and in addition, the children are starving! All the misfortunes of the world have settled in the Chilashvili family! In Georgia, there are many families facing hardships. Some grapple with hunger, others with sick children, but the unfortunate combination of both is rare. But they are not alone, are they? They have us! Because Georgia is a nation of kind-hearted and compassionate people!

As if all the misfortunes of the world have settled among the sick children and the entire poor Chilashvili family! Lord, help!

Death, hunger, diseases, and, most horrifyingly, the suffering of children! Honestly, we haven't seen such horror before!

Nina (the grandmother): ‘What unfolds within our home is akin to a genuine apocalypse. My daughter grapples with illness — her mind affected. My son, too, battles health challenges. His wife is sick, a deeply unhappy woman, she is completely orphaned. Can you imagine?!  She was raised in an orphanage, a poor thing!  I feel so sorry for my grandchildren too; my heart bleeds! Shota's little legs are crooked, and at five, he hasn't uttered a single word. Meanwhile, three-year-old Badri communicates with a simple 'baa-baa,' whether beckoning his mother or expressing hunger! My granddaughter - grandmother's sweet baby—she passed away right in my arms. I don't know how I managed to stay on my feet and not die myself!  Her temperature suddenly shot up, and by the time the doctors arrived, she was already with God

Responsibility for the entire family of sick and unhappy people, forgotten by everybody, has fallen on the shoulders of 70-year-old grandmother. There are indeed such saintly women! May God bless them with health!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

- My God, why did it happen?

Nina: All our kids were born premature. Little Shotiko, when he came into the world, weighed just 1 kilogram. We barely pulled him through. And Nina, she was born early too. She spent three months in an incubator. They kept her away from us. But when we finally brought her home – you can't imagine the joy, they even named her after me!  Can you imagine how much I adored her? We'd carry her around in our arms. But then she got a fever, and we couldn't get her to the doctor in time… My daughter-in-law, she's a sick person herself. But I do what I can to help. She's like my own daughter.

- What is wrong with your daughter-in-law and how did she meet your son?

Nina: You could say that God himself brought her to us! By sheer chance, she found herself in our home. An orphan, raised in an orphanage. She later got married in a nearby village, but her husband was abusive, and she fled from home. She ran away in winter, wearing just a single dress, barefoot. Our acquaintance spotted her on the road, questioned her, and upon learning she had nowhere to go, he called me. I said I'd take in the poor girl, and she became my daughter. That's how she ended up living with us, eventually becoming the wife of my son, Mikhail. I do what I can to support them, but being old myself, there are limitations.

"How much more can you endure, my dear... how much longer can you hold on?"

- Did you take the children to the doctors?

Nina: We did, but it was all in vain. They prescribed so many procedures, but we can't afford to pay for them. That's why we reached out to you.  We even took them to the church, to miracle-working icons, but that didn't help either.

- It's essential to have the children examined, but you have many other needs... could you please list them?

Nina: Everything we have is old and broken!  No beds, no running water at home – we bathe the children in a basin. No refrigerator, and no food. I don't know if there are more unfortunate people in Georgia!

"Responsibility for the entire family has fallen on the shoulders of 70-year-old grandmother Nina. There are indeed such saintly women!  May God bless them with health."

- In Georgia, numerous families endure hardships. Many face hunger, and there are countless children dealing with illnesses, but when all these challenges converge – such cases are exceptionally rare.

Nina: Yes, you're right.  People can somehow navigate through poverty, but when you have sick children at home and can't offer them any relief, it's enough to drive you to the edge. Take Shotiko, for instance. Every part of his body aches. Wherever you touch him, tears well up. And he can't articulate why he's in tears. It could be hunger, it could be the cold... he has misaligned legs, and there's a lump on his foot...

Fate, at times, unfolds with injustice and cunning.  In our world, certain families confront extraordinary trials, where each day is laden with pain and hardships. Such is the story of the Chilashvili family, where each of its members battles with pain, illnesses, and poverty.

Little Shotiko and Badri have been sick since birth, and their little sister was even less fortunate – she passed away at the age of seven months. Their father, Georgiy, is an unhappy man, and their mother, Nana, barely copes with mental problems and sometimes, looking at the children, plunges into deep depression. Grandmother Nina maintains a cheerful spirit and takes care of everyone. Her pension and meager allowance barely suffice for so many people. The future of the entire family hangs by a thread.  Officials don't notice them, and only we can change their fate by joining our efforts. Together, we can pave their path to life without pain. We have no illusions that we can completely rid them of illnesses and suffering, but every assistance and support we provide will become a precious seed of hope in their lives.

We can raise funds for treatment and rehabilitation, ensuring them the support and care they so desperately need.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Adigeni municipality, village Ude.

Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone's prayers through you!

We are sure that all together we will manage to save them from imminent death.
