Jilda: I was so afraid of this - I didn’t want to believe ... They said that Luka’s condition would worsen over the years, but I believed in a miracle! I thought - what if everything would go differently for Luka, not like the others? I thought, what if the monster that lives in his head would stop developing and leave my son alone? But he started having headaches and seizures recently.

Jilda: Before Luka was born, I was the happiest mother in the world. My husband and I had a healthy first-born son Lasha. After 4 years God again gave me the joy of motherhood ... My husband was so happy waiting for his second son! Our parents were happy expecting for their second grandson. Despite the difficult labour, I gave birth to a wonderful baby! I was so proud! I don't know who cursed me like that. We were discharged from the maternity hospital, and a few days later my baby began to have seizures ... oh, God, how scared we were ... That was the end of my happy motherhood. Oh, we spent so many sleepless nights, he died and resurrected in my arms so many times. Five times he was anesthetized during a tomography, and each time we didn’t know if he could get out of it, or we would lose him forever. Over the years, his condition becomes more and more difficult, he became aggressive, he might even hit someone... 

“He looks so chubby and healthy, but real monsters live in his head”

Jilda Gabedava: He has multiple brain cysts, epilepsy, mental retardation. The devil made such a gift to my son. They have already examined him 5 times - tomography, each time the size and number of these "bad things" increases ... They have not operated on him... the doctors say it's too early yet. Right now, I need them to examine him again, but I just can’t save money to take him to the doctor.

Jilda: His brain is affected by numerous cysts, he looks like a healthy boy, so cute that you just want to pinch his cheek ... but he is very sick! A real monster lives in his head, and it devours his brain. His life could end at any moment... 

Jilda: Of course not! We had a house, a car... but we sold everything for Luka's treatment! Now we live in this terrible place. This makes situation with my son even more complicated. Sometimes there is not enough money even for food. 

“You can’t live on allowance only when a major part of it goes for diapers and renting a room”

Jilda: My Nika is a gift from God! He is now 6 years old. He gives me the strength to live, the strength not to lose heart... My boys help me a lot. The fact that Luka is now sociable, that he can say at least some words is the merit of his brothers. I would give my soul for my son, I was going to sell my kidney, but they said that I would become unable to take care of him ... my husband had an accident, he barely survived. Before that, he worked as a laborer, and I did not leave Luka even for a second. He can hurt himself. I do not complain – it is motherly duty!

“It is hard for mom to cope with Luka, he is very big and heavy”

Lasha (16-year-old): I even started learning wrestling to be strong. Mom can no longer cope with Luka alone and I help her. It is hard to dress Luka, to lead him by the hand - he is the largest in our family. At home I am a nanny for my brother, and outside the home I am a champion! 

"I dream of becoming a great wrestler and taking care of my family"

Lasha: My dream is to become a famous wrestler. I want to earn a lot of money so that my family does not live in need. But now there is no money even to buy wrestling shoes. How can I ask to buy them? The main thing is that Luka has medications, diapers, and food. 

“I taught Luka to talk, and now I have learned to make tea for him”

Nika: I dream only of a bicycle and a tablet. Luka doesn't give me a phone so I can watch cartoons too. He always cries without a phone! And I give him my toys and make tea. But I'm not mad at him. He's like a little baby!

Jilda: Of course, Luka is safe with such brothers. Even if I am gone, I will be calm that Lasha and Nika will look after him, even better than me. I dream of one thing, so that my son's health does not get worse, and for this we must pray unceasingly and continue the struggle for his life. I know that hundreds of thousands of people read your page, I ask them to pray for my Luka, I know this will ease my son's hard life.

Jilda: We really need diapers and food. Luka also needs special orthopedic shoes and clothes of big size. I also dare to ask for a bed with a mattress for him, because our folding sofa cannot withstand his big weight.
