3-year-old Tamar greets us with these words, not understanding why all this is happening ... She is still too little to realize in what terrible conditions she lives. She is afraid that the house, or rather what she calls her house, may collapse at any moment and bury the people living there alive ...

What if the roof collapses and I can't save my child?!

- Happy mother wails and expresses her gratitude at the same time greeting us at the entrance.

"Ma’am, look, what a cool washing machine my mother has!" - shouts sunny baby Tamara.

Then she puts her white plump hand to her little heart and touchingly says: “Do you know what a big thanks I want to give you? That big! - and she continues: - And this is our vacuum cleaner. When I turn it on, it does like this: "whoo!" Let's go, I'll show you something else..." Little fidget Tamara is so emotional talking about the gifts made to her and her mother by the Fund’s friends that it becomes difficult for me to restrain my emotions seeing how sincere and open this child is. Until recently, it seemed that there was no way to cheer up these lonely people - a mother and her little daughter. You probably remember the story of the Nokarashvili family that we shared with you recently.

https://chernovetskyifund.ge/en/projects/finished/659-nokarashvili/description/

It was then that we learned that the difficult living conditions, lack of money and loneliness were the burden that single mother Tea had to bear. The poor woman addresses us for help, and it were us who became her last hope. Now their home became cozy, the baby eats her fill, and the mother does not cry anymore!

“I hug my mommy when she cries to cheer her up. I also get a little bit sad, when I have no yummies at home. But mom hasn't been crying lately. It means that now we have a lot of food, right? " - continues baby Tamara.

- Tea, how did your life change after our publication?

Tea: All these years we used to be completely alone with my daughter. Not many people asked me whether my baby was hungry. Or whether our roof collapsed while we were sleeping. Loneliness became something we got used to. That’s what I told my daughter: “We only have each other - you and me!”  But the day when you published a story about our family everything changed. It is hard to describe my feelings: at first I answered the calls with caution, it was a little bit awkward - they asked me what we needed the most. Complete strangers came to visit us, they brought us food and clothes for the baby. For the first time in a long time, I felt that someone was taking care of my daughter and me. And I am also very happy that now in my house I have everything I had been dreaming about for years! Thank you for that!

- Tea, do you mean the gifts made by the friends of the Fund?

Tea: Of course, because the money raised by the Fund was used to buy the best household appliances for me - a washing machine, thanks to which my child is always dressed in clean clothes, and well the clothes dry quickly. Washing clothes in ice-cold water was a real stress for me. See how tidy is everything? It’s my sweetheart who vacuumed here. She is even more happy than me to have a new vacuum cleaner. Another gift besides furniture that greatly changed our lives was the oven. Now I make a delicious food for my daughter, bake her bread and cupcakes. She loves to be by when I bustle about in the kitchen. You brought joy to our life, you made our everyday routine easier, our room became cozy thanks to you. But the most important thing is that you made my daughter and me feel that we are not alone, that you are by us!

"We have never received so many gifts!"

Tamara grows up as a real helper: she turns on the washing machine and helps her mother bake bread

The child enjoys the new vacuum cleaner even more than her mother. “It hums so funny: “Whoo!” - the sunny baby laughs

- Tea, thank you for your kind words. What do you remember the most? Maybe you remember the names of those people who helped you?

Tea: You know, in this short time I got such a huge charge of positive energy! There were a lot of calls, meetings, so it's hard for me to single out someone. I remembered every person who did not remain indifferent to the misfortune of my little family. Can you imagine that complete strangers from other cities sent us gifts?! For example, two kind girls from Kutaisi - Tamar and Nino - sent toys and sweets to my daughter by mail! Thanks to you I met a young woman named Eka, she became a very close person to me. She often calls me to ask how we are and almost every month she comes to visit us and brings yummies for Tamara. Thanks to all of you! Thanks to your care and support you gave to my daughter, taking over her father’s role.

“The new linen is so nice and so comfortable!”

“What is inside, I wonder?”

- Tea, was there any feedback from the local authorities? Maybe they helped you somehow?

Tea: The roof remains to be my greatest problem - it leaks heavily. We are at great risk every day. And what if it collapses upon my baby? What should I do then? How can I forgive myself for putting my daughter in danger? But the authorities keep silent... They once sent me a building material for a roof, but it turned out to be of such poor quality that it could not be used for fixing roof. The wife of the Mayor of Tbilisi, Mrs. Anuki, responded to the post. Many thanks to her for clothes and foodstuffs I would again address the local authorities for help, but, unfortunately, I no longer have any hope for their support.

“I could only dream of such gifts! You brightened up my everyday life and made life easier! "

- Tea, what does this help mean to you? Did you expect to get such a support from strangers?

Tea: I really believed that good people would not let my poor child starve to death. I believed because I knew that good people still exist in this world. Thank you for putting them together! I'm so used to begging for help, asking, humiliating myself... And you showed me that support can be a manifestation of unconditional love, Christian mercy, where the helper does not look down at you, but simply helps you. It worth a lot. I know now that if something wrong happens to me, you will not let Tamara starve and die...

“I used to think that we only have each other, but now it seems that entire Georgia is with us”

- Tea, you are not alone, we are with you! I’d like to talk to baby Tamara too. Do you like the gifts, honey? What did you like the most?

Tamara (4-year-old): Aunt Eka gave me a large mirror and a chair so that I could comb my hair and paint my nails every morning!  Because a girl should always be beautiful like a princess! They also gave me many-many chocolates! I would give you some, but I have already eaten them. Are you upset? Don’t get that upset! (The baby keeps making me smile) Mommy said she would buy me chocolate and two chupa-chups for my birthday! Please come then!

This baby dreams about a scooter and chupa-chups and she really believes that dreams come true.

There is so much kindness in those bottomless eyes of this child... Whoever survived this will never be angry and greedy! May Lord grant her happiness in her life. And now the only thing she needs is a scooter.

- Sweetheart, I promise you, you will get chupa-chups even before your birthday! Tea, let’s continue our conversation. Are there any problems left, that our readers can help you to solve? What do you need the most?

Tea: The roof is a pain - we have no money to fix it. Maybe someone can help us to fix it? 170 GEL that the state pays us is enough for nothing. The child dreams about a scooter and a bicycle, but sometimes I don't even have enough food, I have to refuse her everything. We are also in need of household chemicals: shampoo, soap, detergent powder became very expensive. I don’t know what to save on. I am very embarrassed to ask you for anything - you are very kind to us, and you have already done a lot. The times are difficult now, everyone is in need, but if someone will decide to help us, Tamara and I will be grateful for the food and for the clothes. Thanks to all, who is not indifferent to someone else’s trouble. I will ask God to protect you always!

***

Dear friends, the Nokarashvili family experiences hard time now. Mom and daughter live in hard conditions on 170 GEL per month! Their lives are in danger every day because of the roof, which needs to be repaired urgently. Please, let's unite for the sake of these lonely people and save them from fatal danger and starving to death! Tea and Tamara will be grateful for any help and support, it does not matter what will it be food, or household chemicals, or anything else. Baby Tamara dreams about a scooter and chupa-chups. We have a chance to become kind wizards for this baby, because dreams come true, don’t they?
