In short, the story of my life sounds like this: I ended up without a roof over my head, I was thrown out by my family to the street, I need to stretch one piece of bread for the whole day so as not to die of hunger and prove every day to the whole world that I - a blind person - also have the right to a decent life. At some point I started feeling very bad - poverty and loneliness can break anyone! God, I do not want to recall those dark days... and then you appeared. To say that the Chernovetskyi Fund helped me is to say nothing! You have done everything and even more so that I have the most vital things, starting with food and ending with a mobile phone, proving to me that I - a blind since childhood girl Diana - deserve care and attention. You showed me the world where there the kind and indifferent people live. With your love for me, you lightened the darkness where I was lost all my life! Thank you for everything! I will never get tired of thanking you!

To be honest... I am a legless old man, but I still have brains and conscience! My wife is my legs and hands - I am completely helpless without her. It is like you have given wings to my guardian angel! Poor thing, she was getting so tired washing my things several times a day in cold water, and I blamed myself for not living myself and torturing her. The only thing left was to dream quietly - what a washing machine could we think about, when we not always have enough money for bread... Am I happy? It’s hard for me to hold back tears of happiness, may God bless your families for this kindness and care, amen!

Otar: I'm living solely for my wife. She's gradually forgetting everything, but not me. She doesn't remember our daughter's name, but she never forgets me. She follows me and says she's afraid to lose herself without me… I learned to chop wood while sitting, but the hardest thing for me is doing laundry. This washing machine is my salvation. You can't even imagine the pain I endured while doing laundry! I will pray for everyone to grow old, but not like me! Healthy and remembering everything and everyone! May God protect you all!

I greet you, my most sympathetic and kind people in the world! Do you think I have experienced little in my almost century-long life? And I saw different people, but I never stopped believing that there are more good people! Maybe because of my hope I deserved that the Chernovetskyi Fund learned about my hard life and wrapped me in care, helped me with everything that I needed so much ... Each of you who did not pass by someone else’s grief is chosen by God ... Believe me, you and your children will be rewarded a hundredfold! I swear, I'll pray for you as long as I'm alive!

Can you imagine what it's like being trapped within these four cold walls, in a frail and aching body, starving... and then, you came into my life, and it was like a spark of vitality. You've breathed life back into me. I'm a realist, and I know I won't find a cure, but each day now is brighter and more joyful than those grueling 20 years – years of destitution, hunger, and illness! The Fund has been my lifeline, providing everything I needed most: medical care, furniture, food... You've become my entire world; you are now my world; you are my family! I might not know formal prayers, but in my own words, I'll ask God every day for your well-being!

You know, at some point, my mother and I seemed to have switched roles, and I became her parent. My mom needs care every day - she would not be able to cope without me. I already forgot about myself and my ailments. So, my mother and I remained all alone in this World - the sick old people whom no one needs. The Chernovetskyi Fund did not let me to fall into despair, it was by us in the hardest times, when there was no money at all - I couldn't even buy my mom food, let alone diapers for her! You lent a helping hand to us, my dear ones, you saved me and my mother from hunger! I have never seen a greater manifestation of love for the Almighty! It was as if we had gained caring parents, a family where everyone loves and cares about us! Thanks to each of you, my dear!

Tsiala: Before you came into my life, I counted the days until death and asked God to take me away quickly. But now I thank Him for every new day! Can you imagine? I have a phone now! I can call anytime, I can communicate! I thank God, I thank all the kind people! You have given me a happy old age! I pray for all of you!

Sorry, it's hard for me to express my emotions, I even forgot how to smile... I was in complete despair when the Chernovetskyi Fund appeared in my life... You know, when I became really scared? I was lying in the barn, I heard some kind of rustle, I was afraid that a rat, which got inside again would bite me... I had no food for two days, my head ached terribly, there was no one nearby and I couldn’t even call an ambulance - my phone broke. If hell exists on earth, then I went through several circles for sure. You helped me in a way no one did before... I always had to ask and humiliate myself a million times. And the Fund even gave me a phone so that I would not lose touch with the world and not be afraid to be alone. If someone else had told me this, I wouldn't have believed it!

Iuza: What can a lonely 85-year-old man wish for? Just some small joys that can alleviate loneliness. I have nothing left that is truly mine – only an Order of Honor, a football master's passport, and photos of my wife. That's all the wealth I possess. In my life, I have been through the mill. Now, this television is worth more to me than all the gold in the world! Do you know why? Because it is a gift from people who feel with their hearts – and those are the ones touched by God!

I am rotting away in my 60, getting used to cancer, poverty, and hunger. As if my entire life is a huge disappointment, a series of mistakes and tragedies. But you reminded me I am the same little girl at heart as many years ago, I dream, I believe, I have no cancer and rotting breasts, I can still rejoice. I lacked it so much - kind words, calls with words of support from you, my dear. I was happy like a child with the warm shoes that you gave me because I had nothing to put on in this cold. The biggest happiness for me is food! I will try to stretch it for a couple of months. Thank you, thank you ... Thank you a million times for not letting me die this winter from the cold and hunger!

Do you remember I asked you to repel death from me? It was so close! Death had a taste of hunger and salty tears, and the smell of poverty and dirt, I felt it when I froze from the cold and was afraid to die so that no one would know that I was gone ... I have no idea how I survived all this, but I know for sure it is your merit that my existence has become more like life. You have done so much for me! Where to start listing - from food, medications, or appliances? I have never received so many gifts in my entire life! Thanks to the Fund for everything, thanks to each of you! You repelled death from me, and please don't let it come to me again!

Maria: What do we - old people - need to be happy? To keep our legs and backs warm in winter and not to suffer from the heat in summer. To have enough money for medications. We don't expect more than that. But sometimes, we really crave some sweets with our tea! Do you think only children enjoy candy? You've brought me so much joy right now, and I will think of you every evening... probably for the rest of my life! I love you and send kisses!
