Little Rezi – the baby his mom Tamar had prayed and waited for so many years – was born six months premature, with bronchopulmonary dysplasia, a double inguinal hernia, and many other health issues. He was immediately taken for intensive care – connected to tubes, given medicines, and placed in an incubator. To see this smile today, the Fund’s friends worked hard – they paid for his surgery in Turkey to remove the hernia, as well as for tests and medical examinations. They even bought two oxygen concentrators for Rezi’s home!

A glorious morning has dawned! I heard a call from abroad and a mother’s joyful voice:
“My son is free from the terrible tumor!” Promise us you’ll share this news with the friends of our Fund! We are celebrating it all together today! Four years of unbearable torment for little Irakli have finally ended!

Look at this face! Together with joy, his kind eyes radiate enormous gratitude – to you, to all of you, dear friends of the Fund, to every single person who helped this suffering child, even a little. Indeed, kindness bears fruit quickly. That old, broken wheelchair with its ruined wheels is now in the past. From today, this sweet boy will be rolling through the beautiful meadows of Samegrelo in his new wheelchair. He’ll go to school in this comfortable wheelchair, too. And when he plays tag with his friends – no one will be able to catch Gio! 

“Mama, are they really going to cut off my leg? But how will I run without a leg?! Help me, Mama! You said you love me more than anyone in the world! Can I run just once more before the operation? Just a little bit, Mama!
