Friends, tragedy has struck a Georgian family—the Kvinikadzes. A sudden fire engulfed their home. The desperate cries of the children— “Help us!” —seemed to reach the heavens. Maybe they truly did. Because somehow, miraculously, the children were saved from being consumed by the flames. But little Nikoloz, just two years old, still bears the scars of the fire on his legs. Local authorities promised to help rebuild the hous next to the ruins, but the family has lost all hope. And you might be wondering—why? Why have they lost faith that the state will keep its word? Because after losing everything, the family turned to local authorities for urgent aid – just 1,500 GEL to help them get by. They were promised this amount, but they are still waiting. And so, they have no reason to believe that help will come. Their only hope now is you. To be fair, the Gori local government has been covering the rent for the seven-member family, who are temporarily living in a cramped two-room apartment. But for how long? And how can these children continue living in such conditions? Even if you donate just one lari, it will bring these little angels one step closer to having a home again – no matter how small.
Georgia must come together! If each of us contributes enough for just one brick, these children will no longer be homeless. And this kindness it will come back to you, to your children, to your grandchildren, in ways only God can know.

Look into these eyes… There isn’t a word in any language that can fully describe the sorrow of this little girl
A moment that will make your blood run cold. Three-year-old Luka finds a single mandarin orange in the yard of his family’s burned-down home. And without hesitation, he gives it to his two-year-old brother, Nikoloz.

This is three-year-old Luka. With childish innocence, he tries to lift the charred beams that collapsed from the ceiling, hoping to put them back in place. The poor boy truly believes that if he can fix the roof, their home will come back— his soft, warm bed will return, his brother’s favorite toy car, the one he couldn’t sleep without, will be there again.
This is all that remains of the house—the home built through years of hard work by the Kvinitadze family.
This little girl is a hero. At just 10 years old, she tried to pull her younger brothers from the flames. Her heart is bigger than you can imagine. Now, her green eyes are filled with tears. The girl who miraculously survived death watched her beloved home burn to the ground. Can you even imagine the trauma she has endured? Even an adult would struggle to bear such horror—yet this little girl carries that pain in her tiny heart. Who knows if she will ever forget the sight of her home disappearing in flames?
This is Mariam, Anna’s twin sister. She stood in that burning room, crying bitter tears. Even the stones would weep for her.
The children lost everything—not a single piece of clothing survived the fire. The jacket and pants she’s wearing now were given to her by kind strangers.
And that shirt she’s holding? It was her favorite. A gift from her mother on her birthday.
This little angel’s legs were burned in the fire
Look at him—staring up at the blackened ceiling, at the collapsed walls. God, how much sorrow is in this image. Their mother tries not to let them see her cry. But only God knows the fire that now burns in her heart.
Look at this child. He recognizes what’s left of their heater—
twisted, rusted metal, all that remains of something they once кelied on to stay warm.
Their mother spent the whole summer working in strangers’ fields under the scorching sun, just to earn enough to buy that heater for the winter. So her children wouldn’t shiver in the cold. And now, this little boy can’t understand—why is his beautiful heater gone? Why has everything they loved turned to ash?
Sometimes, life is so cruel. Why did it make these little angels suffer so much?
This photo speaks louder than words. A hungry child, looking at a piece of bread with such gratitude. Oh, the sadness in two-year-old Nikoloz’s eyes… God! God!
This little angel doesn’t understand—why is his home nothing but ruins? Why did the fire take his favorite toy?
The furniture, bought with so much effort by this hardworking family, is now just charcoal and dust.
She was named after the Virgin Mary… And now, in 10-year-old Mariam’s kind eyes, you can read nothing but fear, despair, and hopelessness.
Three-year-old Luka looks out through the hollow frame of a burned-out window. Outside, other children are playing, laughing, and running. But inside, behind these charred walls, there is only Luka. His world has turned black and white. Where has the joy in his little heart gone?
After the fire, the government placed the Kvinikadze family in a tiny two-room apartment. There aren’t even enough beds for the children. This family—left with nothing—is now struggling just to survive. And as if that weren’t enough, their grandfather, already battling serious heart disease, suffered a heart attack from the shock of the fire. He is now in the hospital, fighting for his life.
Should a two-year-old child have so much sadness in his eyes?
Friends, you’ve seen for yourself—the unimaginable hardship this family has endured. Not only did these children stare death in the face, but they lost everything. Even the simplest things—a spoon, a cup—were swallowed by the flames. Now, their only hope is you. May God bless you. But just for a moment—put yourself in their place. We must bring the light back into these children’s eyes. Georgians don’t need to be taught how to support one another in hard times. You have saved so many families with your kindness. Now, it’s time to help the Kvinikadze family!

Mari (10-year-old): When our house burned down, my sister Ani and I cried so much…
Ani: “Everything in this room was a gift from the Fund’s friends!”
‘We have a big wardrobe with mirrors – just perfect for our big family.”
– I’m right behind you with the camera, listening carefully!
Ani (10 years-old): Welcome to the room that Mari and I share! Everything you see here is brand new. And the scent of new furniture is amazing! We’ll sleep so well on this soft bed. Our textbooks and school supplies will go in the dresser. The ottomans are so comfortable to sit on. And the big wardrobe is for our clothes. Oh, we have so many new clothes! Let us change and show you.
Even the little ones got everything they needed. Luka and Niko are knocking at the door – they want to show off, too. They’re already dressed in their new outfits.
Ani: “Luka and Niko came to show you their new clothes—and to jump on our bed!”
“We’re in great spirits! Sending you love and hearts!”
– You all look wonderful! Both the sisters and the little brothers! Everything suits you so well!
Mari: Now, let’s go to the kitchen. I’ll be the host here, Ani. When we first moved into this rental apartment, the kitchen was empty. Now, it feels like a real kitchen, just like in our old home. All of this was gifted to us by the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund – this big kitchen cabinet, the fridge, the stove, the washing machine, the air fryer, the microwave, the meat grinder, the blender, and the toaster! We’re so happy and already using everything with great joy. Thank you, dear friends of the Fund!
Lasha: “Look at our amazing new kitchen, son!”
Ani: “We’ve already unwrapped our gifts and are happily using them.”
“We put some bread in the toaster and are waiting for it to toast and pop up.”
“Now, we’re going to make a kiwi smoothie and treat you!”
Mari: Oh, but do you think that’s all?! No! We also received chairs for every room, toys for the little ones, groceries, medicine, and a nebulizer… I thought I’d never feel happy again after that terrible fire. But right now, I feel truly happy!
The little one was overwhelmed by everything today and fell asleep on his new bed.
Babale (Mom): “The children often get coughs and croup—the nebulizer helps us so much.”
Babale (Mom): So many people, so much help. I am endlessly grateful to you. Just as our misfortune was great, so too is the joy that God has given us. I wish happiness, joy, health, prosperity, and success to all our new friends.
Lasha (head of the family): The Chernovetskyi Fund has provided us with more than half of what we needed. This is a huge act of human kindness. Thank you for being there, for caring about my children. My dear friends, my good people—may life be kind to you, and may luck always be on your side!
– So, do you still have problems?
Lasha: This house isn’t ours… But whose house is it, you didn’t mention…What we have created is a big family! We desperately need a home. Let the children have their own nest after we are gone!
I know for sure that in Georgia, thousands of people live in much worse conditions than we do. And yet… we are human, and we believe. Little by little, the Fund will be able to raise money and buy us a home, won’t it? I’m sorry for asking for so much!
Journalist: I wish I could promise you a new home right now. And we are thinking about how to help many families get homes… But believe me, you are not alone. You are not just one out of a hundred, or even a thousand… That’s why we are looking for the best eco-friendly houses that have already been built. We are raising money! If any of our donors have ideas, we kindly ask you to share them – send us pictures, and the contact details of companies that build good mobile or stationary homes. And as you go to bed, pray for those who have no home of their own! God hears everything!
If you’re going through a difficult time and constantly seeking God, take a child under your wing – one of the many we’ve written about – and support them until they can stand on their own two feet! It doesn’t cost much, but there is no greater deed in the eyes of our Lord!
And if you don’t have the means right now—that’s okay! You’ve already done the best thing in life by helping someone. Call this family, talk to them about their hardships, and write to us—we will help on your behalf. Your heart will feel lighter right away! All your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.
Our problems are nothing if compared… Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.
Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge.
Your kindness is a chance for yourself to be happy!
Friends, thanks again to each of you!
