This little angel is six-year-old Nita. When she was born and first opened her eyes, their deep sea-blue color mesmerized everyone. They shimmered like summer waves at dawn. But fate was cruel. Soon, her family received devastating news
Nita was diagnosed with congenital optic nerve atrophy. Her vision is nearly nonexistent: 0.02% in one eye and 0.04% in the other. My God, this is worse than a nightmare. Lacking the money for proper treatment, her poor family could not afford surgery. Had this angelic girl been born into a wealthy family, she would have been sent abroad for treatment without delay. But Nita was not so lucky—her family simply cannot afford it.
They don’t even have a home of their own; they live temporarily in someone else’s house. But they are honest, hardworking people who earn their bread with dignity – and they are raising their children the same way. Honesty is rare these days, but Nita’s parents hold onto it firmly.
The real tragedy is that Nita cannot see at all in daylight. The sun makes her eyes water constantly, and she can’t even open them – let alone see anything. It is pure torture.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!
Every morning, her mother wakes up hoping for a miracle—that maybe, just maybe, her daughter’s sight has improved.
“Sweetheart, what color is this shirt?” – her mother asks, her voice trembling. Her heart pounds as she waits for the answer. “I don’t know, Mama. I can’t see,”—Nita replies, as she has for years. And at that moment, both mother and daughter cry bitter tears.
This year, Nita is supposed to start school. She is incredibly gifted, but… Can you imagine the struggles a blind child will face there? The stress? The fear?
Nita needs a complex surgery—a stem cell transplant. Sadly, doctors in Georgia refuse to perform it. Perhaps they don’t believe in their own abilities. Perhaps they think there is no hope. Dear readers, we leave it to you to decide. What matters is that three different foreign clinics have confirmed they can do the surgery. And more than that – they have given Nita’s family hope that the darkness in her eyes can be lifted. The operation, including the necessary head scans, costs $9,000.
But the biggest problem? The Ministry of Health won’t fund it. Why? Because Georgian doctors won’t issue the required medical documents. Lord, what one should worry about in this country – falling ill or finding a doctor who truly wants to help?
What is this mother supposed to do? How can she get her daughter the treatment she desperately needs abroad? There is no time left. If Nita doesn’t get the transplant immediately, it may be too late.
This blind little girl draws the colorful world she imagines but cannot see. God, how much sorrow is in just this one sentence…
Mariam, Nita’s mother (33 years old): “People of God, as a mother, I beg you—do not abandon me. Do not abandon my little girl, born under an unlucky star. She came into this world like an angel, but life has been so cruel to her… I just want my child to see the sun, the flowers, the mountains, and the fields of her homeland. I’m not asking for riches from this life. I would live in a tiny hut with my daughter if only she could see the moon and the stars.”
Kind people, even stones would weep hearing this mother’s plea. We at the Fund believe that with your help, Nita will see the world again. And when she does, her mother won’t take her to a mirror first. She will take her to the sea. Do you know why? So that her little girl can finally see the color of her own eyes.
And remember—there is no time to waste.
