A four-year-old boy is living on a farm in the forest. He is completely cut off from the outside world, from people. If nothing changes soon, this poor child will turn into a real-life “Mowgli.” God, is this really the fate of poor children—to grow up in the woods, hunting animals like wild people?

His name is Duda, and he is only four years old. He and his mother live in a field near the village of Vanta, in a small, hut surrounded by forest. Yes, you heard that right – this little boy is growing up in complete isolation, with no one around but farm animals. But what’s even worse is that his life is constantly in danger—wild animals could emerge from the forest at any moment, and… well, you can imagine the rest. In this abandoned and terrifying place, the boy lives with his mother, who is a second-degree disabled person. Nino, 39, is a single mother. At 16, she was in a terrible accident that left her disabled for life. She cannot walk without a cane. Her legs are deformed, and even with a cane, every step is a struggle. Yet, despite her severe health problems, she is raising her son alone.

This poor child lives on a farm.
A loyal dog protects Duda from the wild animals and never leaves his side. Yes, even a dog understands how dangerous it is for a child to live here—something the local authorities apparently do not fully grasp. Don’t think, friends, that we’re saying this as a taunt. Every word comes from deep pain.
They live in a dilapidated hut on the farm. They see no people during the day. Only the clucking of chickens fills the silence. At night, they hear the howling of wolves. And this… this is their “life.” God, this is beyond horrifying!
The local government provides them with just 120 GEL per month for rent. Who would rent out even a single room for that amount? Left with no choice, the mother was forced to settle in this terrible hut with her little boy.
The child’s only “friends” are a rooster, a hen, and a dog. He doesn’t go to kindergarten. From sunrise to sunset, he doesn’t see a single person. What if—God forbid—something happens to him? How long would it take for an ambulance to reach this remote forest?
How much tragedy is captured in a single image?
The poor boy looks at our Fund’s correspondent with fear and wonder. Why? Because he doesn’t remember the last time he saw a stranger. If this continues, this sweet little boy will soon turn into a “Mowgli.” And the most tragic part? His development is already suffering. His future is in danger.
We must bring this child back into human society before it’s too late. But this cannot happen without your help. Even an old, tiny house in the village is inexpensive, but his poor mother is too embarrassed to ask strangers for help.
She is a second-degree disabled person, a single mother.
Nino (39): “My son and I are abandoned by the state. The howling of jackals… and my child growing up in these conditions. How long can a person survive in the forest? We have been here for more than two years…”
Dear friends, you can see for yourselves how dangerous this little boy’s life is. He does not deserve that. No child deserves to grow up in such inhumane conditions.
The boy’s only “toy” is a thin, rusty wire. Sometimes he swings on it. Sometimes he uses it for “exercise.”
One day, a hen laid an egg far from the farm. The boy brought it to his mother and said, “Mom, save this egg for that man. It was his chicken that laid it.” By “that man,” he meant the farm owner.
Even though the owner is a kind man who helps them however he can, the child didn’t ask his mother to fry the egg for him—even though he was hungry. What an incredible little boy he is. One day, he will grow up to protect our country. And when that day comes, Georgia will surely feel ashamed for not protecting him when he needed help the most.
Tonight, the poor mother and child will eat pasta for “dinner.”
Tears of bitterness fill the little boy’s eyes. This is unbearable injustice.
As if their unbearable living conditions weren’t enough, the boy is also deprived of a father’s love. His biological father has no interest in his fate.
But even in these cruel conditions, this child’s heart is full of kindness and warmth. He brings frozen stray cats and dogs into the farm hut so they can warm up, just like him. This child has such a big heart.
At the end of the day, as we left their home, little Duda waved goodbye. For the first time, we saw a spark of hope in the eyes of a child who has been abandoned by the world. His heart seemed to sense that soon, all of Georgia would hear his story. Kind people, let’s not disappoint this little angel. He desperately needs food and basic household essentials. But if we show more compassion—if all of Georgia comes together—perhaps we can raise enough money to buy them a small house in the village and rescue this child from the forest. God will never forget this kindness.
