Such a tragedy would never happen to a child in any civilized country – but in Georgia, it seems as though no one cares about the struggles children face. Little Liliana was born completely healthy, but at the age of four, a nearly fatal virus struck her. A nightmare! Now, six-year-old Liliana has the mental and physical development of a four-year-old. She weighs only 14 kilograms. A perfectly healthy child was struck by a terrible virus, and this nightmare turned her life upside down. Her only chance for recovery is treatment abroad. But her mother, a single parent battling a malignant tumor, has no means to help her child. She can only hope for the kindness of compassionate people like you!

This is six-year-old Liliana. She was born completely healthy, and her single mother adored her. Even though they struggled financially, their home was filled with joy because Liliana was healthy. Health is the greatest wealth in life.
On her fourth birthday, despite their hardships, her mother managed to buy ingredients for a homemade cake. That evening, a happy Liliana blew out her candles. She welcomed her fourth year with excitement, never knowing that it would also bring devastation to her family.
One morning, Liliana woke up with a high fever. She was shaking, her throat hurt, and she was so weak she couldn’t even get out of bed. “Oh, it must be that awful virus,” her mother thought, and rushed to the pharmacy with the few coins she had. But who could have imagined that this “awful virus” would turn Liliana’s life into a living nightmare? The angelic little girl developed uncontrollable epilepsy.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!
It breaks our hearts to see how the Ministry of Health treats children from socially disadvantaged families like they don’t matter – especially when their mother is also seriously ill. Who cares about the poor in Georgia besides us, friends?
On top of that, she now suffers from severe heart and stomach issues. Her headaches are so unbearable that even painkillers don’t help. And finally, the most terrifying part – something went wrong with this bright little girl’s brain. At six years old, Liliana now has the mental capacity of a four-year-old.
Her growth has slowed significantly. She weighs only 14 kilograms. She cannot attend school because her epileptic seizures have become more frequent and severe. She struggles to breathe, and her head throbs constantly. How much pain can a little girl endure? Even imagining it is terrifying!
The cruelty of fate doesn’t end there. This big-eyed little girl also has serious vision problems. Liliana needs eye surgery. But her most immediate need is to stop the uncontrollable seizures threatening her life.
She has been hospitalized in many clinics across Georgia, but her condition is so critical, that she must be transferred abroad for treatment. Her desperate mother has no way to make this happen. This young woman is not only fighting for her child’s life but also battling cancer herself.
She has been diagnosed with carcinoma.
Doctors removed 16 lymph nodes from her chest, but they couldn’t save her breast.
You might be thinking: What could be worse for a young woman than that? There is something worse.
No disease, no malignant tumor, can compare to the pain of watching your child suffer. Cancer is eating away at Nino’s body, but the anguish of seeing her child in pain is tearing her heart apart. A mother battling cancer needs help herself. Her treatment is expensive, but she doesn’t even think about her own life anymore.
All that matters to her is Liliana. She is willing to give up everything, even her own life, to save her child.
Nino (Liliana’s mother, 40 years old): “After God, the Chernovetskyi Fund is the only bright light in my life. It gives me, a single mother, hope and the strength to keep fighting for my suffering daughter. When I watch your videos and see how many children have been saved thanks to your Fund, it fills me with hope.”
This grieving mother looks at old photos of her healthy child. Then, she falls to her knees and prays for God to bring back those happy days.
Nino: “Stage 3 cancer is eating me alive, but it hasn’t taken my life yet. What truly kills me is seeing my daughter in this condition. Every day, I die a little. But somehow, God gives me strength, and I keep going. I must fight for my poor girl. She is so weak.”
Friends, when a desperate mother called the Fund, her first words were: “Please, let kind people know about my daughter, just like you do for other sick and dying children.” These were her very first words to us. And in that moment, we realized that after God, her only hope was you – kind-hearted, compassionate people.
Liliana must be taken abroad urgently! Since the child’s condition is acquired, not congenital, foreign doctors believe she has a chance of recovery.
This is, of course, hopeful, but it’s unfortunate that the delays in her examination and treatment are lowering her chances of recovery. What can this poor mother do? Sell her home? Of course, she wouldn’t hesitate. She would sell her house, her jewelry, her furniture, her appliances…
But the heartbreaking truth is that she has nothing to sell. The Kvaratskhelia family owns nothing. Nino, a first-degree disabled mother, and her six-year-old daughter, also a first-degree disabled child, live in a single room inside an abandoned building.
Despite her own serious illness and unimaginable hardships, 40-year-old Nino does everything she can to bring hope and strength to other women battling cancer and to mothers of sick children. Only a truly heroic mother could do this. And yes, Liliana has a heroic mother!
Now, dear friends of the Fund, it’s time for us to be heroes and save this little angel from her suffering. Remember, even a single lari you donate can save a child’s life.
