Among these seven unfortunate souls, one adult is gravely ill, and two children are deprived of their childhood and exposed to deadly diseases! Friends, there is no one else to help them but us! Little Anastasia and Darina sometimes cough so hard they can’t breathe and can’t sleep at night. They live right next to a stone quarry, where a large machine crushes stones from morning until late evening, making sounds like something out of a horror movie. “Our lungs are filled with dust... our ears hurt from all this noise.. They don't give us water and they threaten to destroy our wagon," the little girls greeted the Fund reporter with these words.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

"Everything here is filled with dust, we've turned into dust ourselves..."

If the family is not moved to an apartment with proper living conditions, these beautiful Georgian girls will perish! This place is slowly but surely killing them, filling their lungs with dust from crushed stones! SOS! Their future depends on us now. If they remain living in these conditions and we do nothing, their deaths will be on our conscience!

Darina (10-year-old): Sometimes it feels like I’m made of dust. Like my lungs and stomach are full of stones and dirt. And that makes everything hurt and itch so much...

Anastasia (9-year-old) Yeah, sometimes I just want to reach inside and scratch my lungs. Do you think this could kill us?

- Yes, I’ve only been here for a few minutes, and my ears are already hurting… and I can’t breathe!

“My granddaughters are so beautiful, so good! Why should they live in such conditions?”

Mzia (grandma): Sorry for calling you here, but there’s no other way for you to see how we live. I’ve reached out to government agencies countless times, begged and pleaded for them to come and see how and where we live , but no one cares. Our mayor even sneered and said: “Should I put you up in my own home?”  All I hear is insults and humiliation from everywhere.

"There’s a layer of dust on everything even a minute after cleaning."

- Mzia, how did you find yourself here… this place is like a branch of hell…

Mzia: I’m homeless, living here in this wagon since 2006. I’ve had no happiness since I was young, working from my school days… It was so hard that I had to send my children to an orphanage. I visited them whenever I could so they wouldn’t feel abandoned, but I had nowhere to take them. The owner of the quarry, where I worked as a cleaner, allowed me to live in this wagon.

“Today we'll eat this herb, tomorrow we'll gather another...”

Anastasia and Darina are not my children, they are my granddaughters. My daughters were unlucky, both of them were abandoned by their husbands. So I took my girls home from the orphanage. They need my love!

"Our lives don't matter, but what about our little girls?"

– For how long did your children live in the orphanage?

Mzia: Since the second grade, all the way until they finished school. I regret it deeply, but I had no other choice. How could I survive with children without a home or food? I knew there they at least  had a roof over their heads, they were fed, and they slept in beds instead of on the ground, covered with old coats and jackets...

- Mzia, are you talking about Anastasia and Darina?

Mzia: That's right! They are my granddaughters. One is from one daughter, and the other from another. My daughters have had worse luck than I did. One was abandoned by her husband, and the other barely escaped from the hands of a beast.  Now they live with me in this stifling wagon. I don't know how we fit seven people in here. My husband, Givi, had a stroke and he can't move, and our youngest daughter, 16-year-old Sofo, is always in pain...

"Stones fly right into the house... they could kill someone!"

– How do you manage to survive here, Mzia? I would go crazy. Not only from the noise and the lack of air, but also from the surroundings... Honestly, I haven't seen anything like this even in movies...

Mzia: What can we do? Tell me, and we will listen to any advice. We don't have money to rent a decent apartment. We don't own a house or land, neither me nor my husband. I've written letters, begged, and pleaded on my knees, but no one hears me. Maybe they'll hear you? I'm afraid for the children... what if something terrible happens to them? Can anyone breathe this air?

“We have to walk many, many kilometers to get to school.”

Anastasia: And do you know how far our school is? It takes 5,000 steps to get there...

Darina: And the same amount of steps to get back. When it's cold, and water gets into our shoes, you can almost die!

- Mzia, is that true?

Mzia: Yes, the school is 4 kilometers away from here. We live on the outskirts, and they want to kick us out even from here...

- Who want to kick you out?

Mzia: The owner of the quarry says: "Get out, this is my land." But where can I go? Where can I take my sick husband and children? So, we live in this dirt, dust, and noise.

"Sometimes I close my eyes and dream of a beautiful house."

– What can we do for you?

Mzia: I don't even know. We need everything: beds, furniture, food, medications. If you could give us a fan, that would be wonderful. In the summer, you can’t breathe here. And no matter how much we clean the house, a layer of dust settles within a minute. I can only imagine what's happening in our lungs. And please, on behalf of us, the most unfortunate residents of Georgia, appeal to the officials. Maybe they'll listen to you.

"We have nothing. Our beds are just boards lying on bricks."

"In this metal wagon, it's terribly cold in the winter, and it's like an oven in the summer"

Anastasia: Maybe they can't hear us because it's so noisy here? Sometimes it feels like the factory will never stop running. We cover our ears with our hands and try to speak loudly. But it doesn't always help.

"I don't want to eat this grass again... I don't like it. And there's nothing in the fridge."

Darina: Sometimes we play games to distract ourselves. But sometimes even that doesn't help.

Anastasia: Yes! We just run around; we don't even have a ball. And we have no toys. And no bikes. We have a TV, but we can't hear it.

– What do you dream about?

Darina: That the school wasn't so far away, that there wasn't so much noise...

Anastasia: That we had a house with beautiful rooms...

Mzia: Look at what the children sleep on.  Everything is falling apart, and we don't even have money for food. We've gone to bed hungry and cold so many times... Now, our only hope is you.

"Look at the photos and tell me: can anyone live here?"

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Emotions overwhelmed me. I wanted to run away from that house as quickly as possible. I wanted to forget everything I had seen. And the noise—this terrible noise—keeps buzzing in my ears, constantly reminding me of the beautiful Anastasia and Darina. Many days have passed, and my lungs are still filled with dust; it feels like I will never be able to breathe as I once did... For little Anastasia and Darina, these conditions have become part of their daily lives. They have to adapt them, unable to fully enjoy their childhood.

We can imagine that these are our own children, suffering from their environment, deprived of normal living conditions, and hoping for a miracle. And although this noise and dust are far from us, we cannot remain indifferent to their suffering. Therefore, we call on everyone who hears this cry amidst the deafening noise of the crushing machine to join us in helping Anastasia and Darina. Let’s do everything in our power to ensure they have a better future. Together, we can make the world better for every child.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Kaspi Municipality, village   Agaiani.

Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone's prayers through you!

We are sure that all together we will manage to save this family from imminent death.
