You've given my son a normal life!  I'm so thrilled that I can't find the words, I just bow my head to you in gratitude!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

Nunu: "You've given me a miracle - my son's healing!”

Our Lazare started first grade!  He went to school with a straight back and good posture, very content and smiling. To make this happen, more than two thousand of our benefactors joined their efforts. They covered the cost of the expensive surgery.  For Lazare, a straight spine was not something ordinary. He was born with a spinal anomaly, missing three ribs, limping heavily while walking, and suffering from pain.

Behold, people, what a marvel you have wrought before God! Will He truly forget such acts of benevolence? I bow my head in reverence to you.

Before the surgery, Lazare's spine was like a zigzag!

Due to the curvature of his spine, Lazare had a terrible limp and was in a lot of pain

When Lazare was brought out of the operating room, I was left speechless with joy and amazement, - says his mother Nunu. - He clearly grew taller.  What a transformation! At this point I realized what a significant step toward recovery you've helped us achieve!"

- Lazare, were you scared to go for the surgery?

Lazare (6-year-old): I was scared. They didn't allow my mom to go where they brought me for the operation.

Nunu (Mother): I was standing in the corridor and constantly looking at the door to catch it when the light above it would turn on. It would mean that the operation was over. I watched for six and a half hours.  It was a long and complicated operation. Lazare was operated on in Mersin, Turkey.

- What do you remember from the Turkish clinic, Lazare?

Lazare: The doctor, the uncle who initially scared me (his name is Mustafa), later gave me a cake with Sonic on it for being good!

- Who is Sonic?

Lazare: Sonic is a hedgehog-alien from a cartoon. I asked my mom for a cake like that, and the doctor found out that's what I wanted.

- Do you like school?

Lazare: I like chess. I also like that I always go first holding the teacher's hand.

Nunu: At school, they are aware of Lazare's condition, and his teacher personally carries his school bag every day. Another educator is assigned specifically to Lazare in case he needs assistance with mobility.

A gift from the Fund - a variety of school supplies.

Lazare also received the cool off-road vehicle for being such a brave boy! These gifts carry special meaning as he courageously overcame all the challenges!

- Have you made new friends, Lazare?

Lazare: I found a friend, Keti.

- Is she a nice and pretty girl?

Lazare: She's calm and doesn't push me. You see, I have a brace on. I can’t jump or run too fast. I don't want a spoiled friend.

Nunu (laughs): Oh, he takes good care of himself after the surgery. He knows he needs to be careful. In general, my boy is prudent.  He still needs to wear the brace for another 6 months. And he should also avoid sudden movements and excessive activity. The rest is going well - there are already noticeable improvements: his body no longer tilts during walking as it used to, he can stand for longer periods, and he experiences no pain during play or other activities.

Nunu: "Thanks to all of you, Lazare now can live a normal and full life!"

- What was done during this major operation?

Nunu: His spine was reinforced with screws, and now it can be gradually straightened. This was the main operation. Lazare has further corrective surgeries ahead.  The next operation will likely be in the winter, as decided by the doctor. It's not as complex; it will only take half an hour or an hour.

In February, we are planning to go to the Turkish clinic again, and the doctor will tell us how much the spine has straightened.  It's too early for a tomography right now.

Lazare is showing how straight his back is. He's a winner, just like his idol Kvaratskhelia.

If he hadn't had the operation, the consequences of scoliosis would have become more severe with each passing day, affecting his heart, lungs, and all his internal organs. Due to his curved spine, his left leg was 3 cm shorter and raised above the other. The doctor also addressed this issue during the operation. Compare Lazare's legs: the difference is no longer noticeable; his left leg has stretched a bit. One more thing I've noticed is that Lazare has developed a hearty appetite after the surgery. Perhaps his stomach is now more at ease and no longer compressed.

– He even has a little tummy now.

Nunu:  I need to restrict his food a bit.

– Nunu, what does the support and help from our readers mean to you?

Nunu: Tomorrow, I will turn 27 years old. I can honestly say that in my entire life, I have never encountered such enormous and selfless help. I have never seen such genuine concern for me, care, and attention.  You have given me a miracle – the healing of my child.  I'm still in euphoria and shock that everything worked out.  The complete strangers raised the missing $9,000 for the operation.

I've kept a screenshot of the first transfer on the Fund's website as a memento. It was 1 lari, but it was worth a million to me. Our new life started from that one lari, just like that!  A life where I no longer fear what bitter future awaits my son. I believe that, thanks to you, Lazare can have a normal and fulfilling life.

I'm still overwhelmed with emotions, unable to find suitable words of gratitude for you! May your families be healthy and happy! May everything go well for you in the future, and may the Lord assist you in your endeavors.

I bow my head before you and before the Turkish doctor who operated on Lazare. My son is still young and doesn't fully comprehend it yet. But I've told him that thousands of unknown heroes have cared for him. I call you that: the unknown heroes of my Lazare.

– Did the local authorities and the state help you with fundraising for the operation?

Nunu: The district council, the mayor's office, and the Ministry of Health all offered some help, but we still had to raise an incredibly large amount – $9,000. I had exhausted all sources and possibilities to help my son, and when I was almost in despair, I found you. It's a miracle!

 – What kind of help do you need now, Nunu?

Nunu: - Lazare doesn't need to take any medications, and he's free from examinations until February. But in winter, we have to go for a check-up with the doctor again, and most likely Lazare will need corrective surgery. I will seek financing from the government this time because the amount is not very large. But we can't do it without you. I'm asking for your help to get to the clinic and deal with the hotel expenses while Lazare undergoes the examination. I'm afraid I won't be able to manage the costs on my own. I need someone to rely on to ensure that everything goes smoothly, and I don't know anyone better and more reliable than all of you.

Friends, there is already a remarkable result after the surgery: Lazare started walking correctly, without severe limping, and his posture looks different.  For the complete straightening of his spine, he will need further corrections. They only need a little from us - to cover the trip and hotel stay in Mersin, so that everything continues to go well for our Lazare.
