There is nothing more painful than to meet the eye of an orphan child, imploring to see his mother. His eyes are full of only one question: Mommy, where are you?

These children are orphans. They will never, ever, learn what it is, mother's care and father's warmth. For them the words "mother" and "father" are in the past which cannot be returned.

Saba is 8 years old, and his sister Lizi is 4. Granny and grandad take care of them. They love them more than anything else in the world, but who could replace parental love? 

"Granny, buy me some ice-cream, Granny, I want that doll, I want cookies... My heart bleeds when I cannot give such little joys to the children... How could you explain to a little child that the entire pension is spent for food and medicines and that we will have to live in such conditions for the whole life? My husband and I are in such age when we ourselves require care. I am even afraid to think of what will happen to these children when we die.  I pray God to stay longer and not to leave my grandchildren to the mercy of fate", - says Granny Liza.

... A couple of years after expulsion from Tskhinvali region, in Tserovani settlement her daughter Tamara met Kakha Arbolishvili. The young people fell in love with each other, got married, and in 2010 she gave birth to their son, Saba. Tamara kept on working as a nurse at ambulance, and Kakha got a job of a sports coach, teaching local children to play football.

In 4 years little Lizi was born, and on the fifth day from her birth Tamara suddenly died. Doctors found that the 32-year old woman had an oncological disease which she was unaware of. After that Kakha started taking care of the children all by himself. He was a father and a mother for the children. He was the strong supporter of the whole family... But mischief came to this family once again.

3 months ago Kakha died. 45-year old young man, full of strength and energy suddenly died... of a blood clot. Saba and Lizi were left full orphans. Now they will have to live their lives without parental care which normally should provide a person with a light on his or her way, warm the heart and give sense to one's life.

Tamara was my younger daughter, and my elder son died 20 years ago in an accident. So, we have no close relatives. We still cannot recover after Kakha's death, it was such a shock that my heart is still bleeding. My wife and I still stay strong, but without other people's assistance it is unlikely that we will keep afloat", - says Granddad Irakli. 

Dear friends, Saba and Lizi, and their grandparents extremely need your understanding and compassion now. Now they face such an issue: they need to survive this complicated period and keep their feet!
