You know what happens to a person when they don't eat for a day? Or two days? Or three? What if that person is a 10-year-old girl? And her 9-year-old sister? And there are five of them in the family! We'll tell you right now. We always tell you everything. Mari (10 years old): On the first day, it was still okay. It was just hard to fall asleep. The smell of bread kept haunting me all the time. On the second day, my stomach and head started hurting. I can't remember which one hurt more. In the evening, I even felt like crying. But I held back my tears so that I wouldn't show them to Mom. I'm the oldest, after all! If I had cried, everyone else would have cried too. On the third day, everything sounded muffled in my ears, and there were gray spots in my vision.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

"Little Elena suffers  from hunger the most"

Nini (9-year-old): Hunger is awful. There's this "booooo" sound in your ears, everything around you gets dark, and you feel like sleeping, but not like at night, it's different.  It's like falling asleep and never waking up. Even if a prince kisses you.

Mari: Well, if he feeds us first and then kisses us, maybe we'll wake up!

"For them, hunger isn't an abstract feeling; it's a real struggle for survival, a daily reality"

Imagine that you can't afford to buy food for your child. He is crying, feeling sick, and his face reflects fear and despair. What would you do in such a situation? Would you go criminal? Would you risk stealing? Or perhaps, simply ask for help from every passerby? Now, put yourself not just in the shoes of a reader but in the shoes of a mother who finds herself in this horrifying situation, with hungry and suffering children.

Hunger is more than just a sensation; it's physical and emotional pain that engulfs every cell of the body and soul.  Let's talk about the life of Alla, a single mother of five children who chose not to have an abortion, leaving her alone and now facing incredible difficulties in her attempts to feed her family.

- How did you find yourself in such a dire situation?

Alla: It all started when I became pregnant with our fifth child, and my husband was strongly against the idea of having another baby. It was already tough for us to keep our four children, and suddenly, the fifth one was on the way! He gave me an ultimatum: either I get rid of the baby, or he leaves the family. I chose to keep the child - I couldn't bring myself to end a life. Mothers would understand me.

"Her mother was supposed to abort her to save her marriage!  But Alla chose Elena"

Mari: I remember how Dad shouted at Mom. He said bad words. I cried a lot. Maybe he didn't want me to be "born" either?

Nini: It's good that nobody scolds Mom or us anymore.

- Have you always lived in such need? Or did your husband support you?

Alla: We never had our own home. My husband worked, and I lived with the children in a shelter for homeless women. We would meet him in town sometimes.  They wouldn't let him in there. That's how we lived. Now we're in an acquaintance's apartment. You can hardly find such kind people!  A real godsend! I always tell my kids they should be like him! Even though we have relatives, they don't help us - they only criticize!

"I remember how Dad used to shout at Mom. He said bad words"

- And your parents, do they not help you either?

Alla: My mother died when I was 18 years old. My father drank himself to death out of grief, and he died two years later. There were six sisters and a brother in our family. It's as if they don't even know me. They all live their own lives. They haven't even seen my children.

"Andria and Elene suffer from hunger the most.  Andria faints, and Elena cries incessantly"

- How did you meet your husband?

Alla: My brother introduced me to him at our father's funeral and said that everything was settled, and I had to marry him. I didn't want to. I wanted to continue my education, but I couldn't go against my brother's will. But now when I look at these little angels, I don't regret it at all. But when they are exhausted from hunger, look at me, and cry - I am ready to die myself We can't learn to endure this feeling and not give in to it.  And the allowance doesn’t cover our needs!

- What about the allowance for large families and a free canteen?

Alla: We haven't registered at our new address in Poti yet. We moved here recently. Before that, we lived in a shelter. And these 'paper' matters take a long time.  I know it's necessary, but those who came up with these laws probably never saw their hungry children begging God for even a small piece of something.

"I don't want to lose consciousness from hunger"

Nini: Mom's allowance has run out.  It runs out very quickly. I'm so afraid of going hungry for another 3 days - not for myself, but for Elene and Andria. Do you know how bad it was for them? We at least went to school, and there, the other kids shared their food with us. But Andria 'got lost.' Mom slapped his cheeks to make him come back to us. He couldn't hear anything at all!

Nini: Yes, some kids share their bread. And some just mock us so cruelly.

"We should kneel down and earnestly ask God to send us something to eat"

Anna (6 years old): They sometimes tease me because I carry my books in plastic instead of a bag, and they say my jacket is way too big. They joke that you could fit two hundred Anns in there.

Mari: They told me I look scruffy because of my shoes.  They're all full of holes. And I also have old pencils... they say a rat nibbled on them or that I ate them when I was hungry... they can be mean. But not everyone.

"The children don't have school bags. They laugh at me because I carry my books in a plastic bag"

Nini: Hunger hurts in the stomach, but it goes away when you eat. But words like that hurt in the heart, and they never go away.

Alla: My children have fainted from hunger.  At school, they make fun of them because of their tattered clothes. But my children are good kids. God will protect them. He won't let anyone harm them!

Here, on this semi-collapsed bed, five children and their mother sleep

- Alla, how can we help you and your family?

Alla: We need food and clothing for the children. Any assistance would also be highly valuable to us. All six of us sleep in one bed, and we don't have a television.

Anna: It's not a bed, it's a wreck. I dream it finally falls apart completely. It will be more comfortable and fun to sleep on the floor, I think.

Mari: What are you saying?  Do you know how much your back will hurt afterward? And mice might bite us.

"We must urgently save the children from hunger!!!"

When the high and mighty celebrate the birthdays of their children, wives, and sisters... and indulge them with expensive gifts, Alla's family is struggling with hunger. Recently, they went without food for three days. If it weren't for kind neighbors, their fate could have been different - newspaper headlines could have told the tragic story of a single mother and her five children who perished from hunger. This is shameful!

We urge every reader to reflect on their ability to help those in need. As they say, "Gratitude is not only the highest virtue but also the response of a grateful heart." By helping Alla and her children, we make the world a bit kinder and brighter.  We secure the future of our children so that they can live in a society where hunger and destitution are not the norm.

If you are willing to visit this family and help them in person, here is their address: Poti, 7 Apkhazeti Str, Apartment 34
